Embassy Gardens as an apartment complex is excellent. All communal areas are presented very well, security is on point plus location is ideal as it’s surrounded by lots of eateries. However, I staying at this apartment is ideal if your visit in Ghana is limited to a week at most; more than that and it becomes problematic. The essentials provided were lacking (there were no table nor teaspoons or blender, crockery was minimal, essential cleaning tools missing), seating basic (2 chairs plus table but sofa was soiled), shower mat filthy, you are expected to clean the apartment and dispose of rubbish yourself. The apartment isn’t located in the best part of the block either (it’s near an incinerator) but is designed well. However, lack of maintenance and care is beginning to take its toll on it. More troubling was the fact that the electricity was cut off during my stay. After complaining, I was provided with a token to upload onto the meter. All in all…..avoid for long stays!

As a Host, Francis was very pleasant and responsive to my asks. The unit was as promised, and the location was convenient. There was an unpleasant smell in the apartment that I could not get out. Noticed others mentioned that in their reviews as well. I noticed small, white, round beads tucked in spaces throughout the apartment that I believe was the source of the smell. I am not sure what those are, but the smell they produce is very bothersome. Though the apartment was clean, there is additional attention that should be paid to the linen and furniture.

Nice place!! There is a strong smell of camphor which is use as insect repellent that I couldn’t get over. I guess it’s an African thing. Overall it’s an hidden gem from all the craziness outside. Security is on point and they check visitors in and out.
