The "Trail’s End Corral" suite exudes charm, accommodating up to 8 guests with an ensuite bathroom. Its western corral decor sets the scene, while amenities such as a table with chairs, refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig machine ensure comfort. Relax on the covered porch with four spacious rocking chairs, surrounded by birdsongs. Entertainment options include a TV, DVD player with DVDs, and WiFi. This room is located in a replica of an 1880s old west town known as "The Mountain" as part of the world-famous First Monday Trade Days Flea Market. During Trade Days you can enjoy the shopping and dining opportunities on "The Mountain" and stroll over to additional shopping in the pavilions. Within walking distance, there is evening shopping, entertainment, and food until 10 PM. Parking during Trade Days: Parking is provided at the bottom of “The Mountain” and is included in your stay with us at Acorn Hideaway Frontier Suites (value of $5 for 1 day and $8 for the whole event dates). The goal of Old Mill Marketplace Property is to provide guests with a safe "pedestrian-friendly" experience. For this reason, our Frontier Suites are not accessible by vehicle during Trade Days. Guests cannot park at their individual cottages. Instead, upon check-in, our concierge service will help you with your luggage and they will take you to your cottage in a golf cart. Parking during Non-Trade Days: Guests CAN park their vehicles (no trailers) close to their Frontier Suite. The road is a bit bumpy - it's a frontier town after all!

Loved our stay! Bev is great!
This place is fantastically unique!! It felt like we were staying on a movie set. The rooms were as described 78 surprisingly comfortable!!! We had a very spacious porch with beautiful rocking chairs. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We did not stay during trade days but rather a family reunion. We had to make adjustments to accommodate more people and they really helped us out by adding on a room for a good price. It was located in the same suite so we shared the porch. It was wonderful and so much better than hotel!! We plan on visiting Canton a lot more to see family members and will definitely book a stay during trade days.

Acorn Hideaway was perfect for our 2024 eclipse watching stay. Bev and Tim were excellent hosts and even moved chairs and tables down to a prime viewing area. The accommodations were exactly as described and no surprises. The space has lots of quaint shops and restaurants in the village. Our unit was very clean and had everything we needed. Bev and Tim were gracious and friendly. They sent information ahead of time so we knew what was offered nearby for food, parking, and check in. Our previous reservation cancelled the week before our trip so were so thankful to have found Bev--it actually turned out way better than it would have originally. This would be a great place to stay for Trade Days. Thank you both for a wonderful stay!

Our 19 guest suites are located within a community of shops that are open during First Monday Trade Days once per month and other individually owned and separately operated guest lodging. It is a quiet area close to everything, hidden away among the trees.
Feel free to hike and walk the Old Mill Marketplace Property. During the non-Trade Days of the famous First Mondays, you may park directly across from your suite's door. During the Trade Days, we have golf carts to escort you from the main parking lot to your suite as “The Mountain” becomes pedestrian-friendly. Downtown restaurants and shopping are only 1/2 mile away.

My husband Tim and I have retired from the Seattle area. We love to stay engaged with people and create things. At the beginning of 2021, we purchased a few buildings to renovate into awesome BnBs near the Canton, TX First Monday Trade Days. We chose to transform all 19 guest suites into a small Western Frontier town.
