I would rate this place a 6. There is some inflation on the AirBnB ratings; so, too many places receive a high rating. Doug’s Casita really deserves a top rating; of course, preferences and taste differ.

We rented this place for a few weeks for my family and genuinely can’t wait to suggest it to other friends! Doug was very prompt, easy to talk to, and extremely accommodating on our check-in and check-out needs. The place is so peaceful and charming and a perfect location close to area restaurants etc. Such a lovely experience all around!

Sure, you could find a hotel - but then you’d miss out on the serenity of this GEM and thoughtful, friendly hosts. It is a wonderful place to relax with yummy food, ice cream, a place to hike or shop all near by. (It’s also DOG FRIENDLY!)

What a find this place is. I so enjoyed my two nights here. The place itself is gorgeous, the bed is super comfortable, and the thoughtful addition of scones from a Montrose bakery is an amazing welcome gift. I’ll be back as soon as I can.

If I were dreaming up the ideal Airbnb, it would be a lot like this “Casita” - lots of thoughtful touches, pleasing interior design, great bathroom (plenty of space to set things down, great shower, etc) and beautiful backyard. The kitchen is great also, I just didn’t have a reason to use it.
