This was our second extended stay at Russell and Penelope's place and we had a wonderful time! We have stayed at several Airbnbs in Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear, and this one is our favorite. We especially love watching the wildlife from the back decks - this time around we even received a visit from a group of bears! Just before we moved in, the mountains were hit with an unprecedented eight feet of snow, which caused us to delay our check-in by one week, and throughout the process Russell was very proactive and helpful with coordinating our change of plans and ensuring a smooth check-in and stay. We also got a few additional feet of snow during our stay, which made for the ultimate cozy mountain experience. The house is well-stocked and includes everything you need for a longer stay, including fast internet, a Roku TV, full kitchen, washer/dryer, and comfortable workspaces and beds. Definitely recommend for anyone seeking a mountain adventure while remaining close to the city.

Fantastic, homey cabin tucked away in the mountains! The furniture is all very cosy, kitchen is well stocked, and the balconies and patio are a plus. Internet is also very fast. Russell was very helpful, responsive, and communicative. Groceries and everything you need are less than 15 mins away. Highly recommend this place!

You definitely want to stay here. First, the hosts. Russell and Penelope are great. Very responsive, always helpful, and they want you to have a great stay. Their friend Laura, who helps them with the property is also super helpful. Second, the property. We loved it. It’s roomy and comfy, and inviting. There are two bedrooms downstairs and a loft with a sofa bed upstairs. They have a wonderfully stocked kitchen, a separate laundry room, and plenty of other space. Decks galore, pretty string lights, a bbq grill, pretty much everything we needed or wanted. We stayed for 2 months and it felt like home. This cabin is perfect for extended stays. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful experience. We had such a great time staying there that we extended our stay for 6 months. The cabin was very clean, comfortable and came fully stocked. Location was extremely quiet & peaceful and the views were amazing as the cabin overlooks the entire national forest. Russell & Penelope were incredible hosts throughout our entire stay. They were very hospitable and always made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts. We definitely look forward to hopefully being able to stay again in the future!

My partner and I lived and worked remotely from this cabin for about three and a half months and had a wonderful time. The neighborhood is very desirable, quiet and safe, and the best part is that it's surrounded by nature. I enjoyed visits from deer, squirrels, coyotes, turkey vultures and a variety of birds at my home office window and balcony daily. There is a full kitchen, outdoor grill, three outdoor seating areas, a loft office area with its own half bath, a laundry room and large TV with the full range of streaming apps. The one downside was the lack of A/C, as temperatures became unusually hot in July and August, but two large fans were provided and I managed by sticking to the back rooms of the house, which seemed significantly cooler. Once the weather cooled down, we took full advantage of the cozy fireplace and heating system. I took walks around the neighborhood daily, and one thing to keep in the mind is that the roads/driveways are very steep (but make for a great workout!). Russell and Penelope, as well as the local property manager Laura, were a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. Highly recommend this cabin for anyone planning a short- or long-term stay in the beautiful San Bernardino mountains.
