Though I frequently use Air bnb when I travel, I had never thought of using it in PNG due to security concerns. I did however, when I decided to visit the Goroka Cultural Show and my stay at Elijah's place exceeded my expectations. From the time I contacted him and his on-site manager David @ Junior, I was reassured that we would be well taken care off. We were picked up at the airport, which was just 5 minutes away from the apartment. The 2 bedroom apartment was homey and was located just beside the cultural show grounds within a guarded compound. Junior, Hepsy, Solomon and the ladies were very friendly. There was ample food supplied with the unit consisting coffee, tea, oil, salt, sugar, bread, bacon and fresh fruit. Junior helped us with our booking for the Asaro Mudmen show and the Cultural Festival. Solomon and Hepsy accompanied us into the show grounds and made sure we were safe. The team was very responsive, helped us get around Goroka safely and have become good friends.
