The house sits alone on top of a mountain. We don’t have any immediate neighbors, so you get an extra sense of privacy. All day long you hear the birds chirping and at night the sounds of the insects sounds like an orchestra.
There’s a few other families that live on the street, they’ve been living here all their lives and are very lovely people.
The house to the left, right before our driveway has an elderly couple living there. They sell beer and sodas if you’re out for a walk and looking for something to drink.
Up a quarter mile past our driveway, there’s a house with a blue roof. The boy who lives there is a professional kayaker and is our business partner for a rafting/kayaking business we have, which is based in Tobia.
It’s super safe to walk around. In fact, Susana and Brian love to run and most days we run to the downtown (2 miles away) or purposely get lost in the running trails in the mountains.

Our house might seem far away from the town, but it’s a nice 2 mile walk (or run!). Brian & Susy run most days to the town for exercise, so feel free to join us.
The river is one mile away from the house. All you need to do is take a left (down the hill) at the end of our driveway, and walk all the way down the street. At the end of our street is the river. The river is great to walk around, take a swim, or have a picnic.
Alternatively, we have an old-school Land Rover that Susy loves to drive, and she can give you a ride.
Lastly, if you prefer not to walk, and if Susy & Brian are not able to drive you somewhere, it’s super easy to have a local come get you in their Jeep. They typically charge 20.000 to 30.000 COP for this service (each way).
