Beautiful waterfront property on Skootamatta Lake. Not on a lily pad filled creek, a small pond or across the highway from the lake. Here you get waterfront on the lake. Bring your boat, and / or enjoy our kayaks and stand up paddle board which are included with your stay. Cottage sleeps 6 comfortably and includes all of the needed conveniences for your family holiday. Bon Echo park is less than 10 minutes away as well for a day trip. Welcome to our little piece of paradise. The cottage features a spacious outdoor screened gazebo complete with table and chairs. You will enjoy eating your meals outdoors and taking in the quietness of the lake at night free of the bugs. The cottage is roughly 900 square feet with an open concept kitchen / living room, two separate bedrooms and a bathroom. We pride ourselves in providing our guests a clean safe environment to enjoy their holiday. The lake is the true gem with clean water, minimal to no weeds and a good sand bottom. We do recommend guests bring water shoes as there is some small stones at shore.

Our third stay at this charming cottage. we enjoy the location on a smaller, quiet inlet of the larger lake, with infrequent noisy boat traffic. The large screened gazebo is our favourite place to relax in the evening, watching the frequent hummingbird visits to the feeder and playing board games. Our hosts are always helpful and attentive. An easy recommendation.
We had a great time at the cottage. Everything was exactly as described and it’s obvious a ton of care has gone into their place. Screened in gazebo is amazing for nighttime. We will absolutely be back.
Amazing location, extremely clean cottage, the gazebo was nice for out door dining, steps down to the waters edge were easy and swimming was great! Very well taken care of and is a perfect spot for a family vacation.
Second time here and it was so much fun. Great swimming, nice lake. Gazebo has a great view of the lake. Cottage has everything we needed. Chris and Amey are always available for communication not that we needed anything. Would definitely come here again.

The local area is wooded Canadian Shield. The lake only has 300 cottages on it meaning it is much quieter than many other Ontario cottage country lakes. Close to 1/2 of the 49 km of shoreline on the lake is crown land. The lake is a deep spring fed lake with clean water (much better than being on the Trent Severn or Rideau Canal Systems). The lake is known for its Largemouth Bass,
Smallmouth Bass, Muskie, Northern Pike and Walleye fishing. Bon Echo Park is a short 10 minute drive away. Hunters Creek golf course is also nearby for those wanting to hit the links while enjoying the cottage.
You will need a car. There is no public transit available in the area. The cottage has road access and a private driveway.
