We brought our kids and grandkids to the island. We loved every minute of our stay in Mauna Lani. The house and amenities were perfect for our family. Thank you South Kohala for making every part of our stay seamless.

There were major issues at Ka Milo 220. Property mgmt tried to rectify, hence 3 stars. 1. AC. Very hot, but it shut off a number of times. At 3am. During the day. During my 2yo niece's nap - she woke with fever. Owner has remote control over AC while stateside. Not responsive to text messages until my sister repeatedly called, then he was rude. 2. Electric stove is finicky. Very difficult to operate. 3. Dryer lint filter does not insert all the way. Some clothes got caught on filter edge and were ruined. 4. Electric fire. A switch started smoking at night. No access to the breaker box. Fire department called. 6yo daughter couldn't fall asleep until 2am because she was scared. 5. Dishwasher has a broken spring (they left a warning on the appliance). Free falls to the ground. Fell on my heel, which, 10 days later, still hurts. 6. No beach gear available. We bought umbrellas while there. Their locked garage is full of beach gear. Owner's right to limit access. Just annoying.

Amazing home with plenty of space for a large group. Very close to shops, restaurants and the beach, making the entire stay very convenient. The hosts were very responsive and helpful - they helped us get an early check-in and later check-out, which helped us out a great deal, especially as we were traveling with an elderly adult. Bonuses: The gym and pools were great, and they also had great beach supplies! Would definitely stay there again. Thank you for everything! Aloha!

Our family (which included 3 generations!) had a lovely 10 day stay. It was especially enjoyed by our 2, 4, and 6 year olds!
