Self catering Gite forming a part of an old wine estate, lovingly renovated to incl all modern comforts. It retains character & charm & comfortably sleeps upto 6 adults. The Bastide of Eymet is a short distance away as are other beautIful historic towns & vinyards, or relax by the pool & use the games area. Surrounded by countryside, you have peace, privacy & beauty. Ample parking, it's own entrance & terrace. Outside shared spaces. We are an adults only destination. Le Chai is 1 of 2 gites on the property. The property and outdoor spaces are shared with the owners and their 2 dogs, and 1 other 2 person gites, Le Pigeonnier. You have parking, lots of garden space, access to the swimming pool and games area, wine tasting on site, and you own private entrance and terrace. Your 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom self catering indoor space is not shared with others so you can make it your home for your stay. It has all the modern comforts you need.

We had the most wonderful holiday we could have wished for !! Everything about this place is how Adam describes it and more We wanted something very traditional French great location and a pool This place ticks all the boxes but what made it special was our hosts Adam and his beautiful wife Christina Nothing was too much trouble and their just the loveliest couple you could wish to meet ❤️Were already planning our return for next year 🤞🇫🇷🍷😎xx
Lovely place, beautiful surroundings, extremely friendly welcome and further discussions with Adam and Christine. Perfect for rest and relaxing by the beautiful pool, as well as the beautiful patio with a boule area, pool table and more. Two mountain bikes available which we used. The nights are pleasantly cool.
Both the house and the host are amazing. Excellent communication with Adam, who also provided a very generous welcome package. We stayed in Le Chai, a fully equipped and perfectly clean place. We enjoyed our dinners on the terrace, with a full sized gas BBQ. We spent hours at the pool and the pool table or on the bikes provided by the host. He also provided a very pleasant wine tasting session. Last but not least: the house is located in the middle of the wonderful tranquility of sunflower fields and vineyards. The beautiful town Eymet, with shops and some excellent restaurants, is a ten minute drive away.
Host amenable nothing too much trouble. Pool great, wine tasting highly recommended.
Een geweldige gite in een prachtig en rustig stuk Dordogne tussen de druiven- en zonnebloem velden. Gite sfeervol en compleet ingericht. Zwembad is verwarmd, de pool tafel een hit! Gastheer Adam (een Engelsman) is zeer gastvrij, behulpzaam en geïnteresseerd zonder opdringerig te zijn. De 2e gite van le Peynau ligt aan de andere kant van het woonhuis, dus optimale privacy. Het uitzicht vanuit de gites is prachtig. Een aanrader!!

The immediate surroundings to Le Peynau are farmland crops of wheat and sunflowers, vinyards, hillls and views. You can see a few other farmhouses in the distance and the nearest neighbour is over 200 metres to the front of the property. The Bastide town of Eymet is 6 km's away and very easy to reach winding through countryside and vinyards. Ample parking in the 12 century bastide gains you access to the central square with many bars, resturants and shops + the weekly markets and festivals at various times in the year. It is clean, friendly and with a population of only 2400 it is remarkable how many people know each other!! The large Contact supernarket is 1 km from the town centre along with fuel stations and more shops. Everything you need for day to day living can be found in Eymet. Other beautiful towns near by include Issigeac, Lauzan, and many more. Larger towns and shops can be found at Miramont and ste Foy De Grande both 15 - 20 mins drive and Bergerac is only 20 mins drive if you want a local city to visit.
