Fantastic stay at Palapa 5. Beach is great, pool and hot tub at the complex is perfect for the kids

We had an amazing stay at Danielle and Dan's palapa in Cerritos! The location was perfect; off the main road so quiet and less dusty, but a quick walk to the beach. We loved having a pool and hot tub on site, as well as the pizza restaurant. The beds were super comfortable, the outdoor kitchen had everything we needed, and the supplied beach chairs and umbrella were very much appreciated! We hope to stay again in the future!

Thank you so much for the lovely stay at Palapa 5! It is a great space, about 750sqft spread out over an inside/outside space. We’re a family of 4 and felt right at home. The kitchen, eating and lounge area outside is authentic and inviting. The inside space had 3 double beds and the beds an all very comfortable! There is an additional table/chairs and the bathroom inside. It was clean and tidy and the kitchen is well stoked for cooking. The complex is great with a beautiful pool and hot tub, great for the kids. I timed the walk to the beach at 7mins even, and there’s a back road way that takes 10min, we preferred this route as you don’t have to walk down the main busy road and eat dust the whole way. The point break is (as expected) exceptional surfing. Ideal conditions are 2-4ft at 15secs with a WNW swell direction, and hope for some offshore winds. The beach is always busy, and the ocean is safe to swim and boogie board for kids. Use phone maps if you plan to arrive at night!

Our 2nd time staying in Palapa 5. We love it here. The resort community and amenities are superb. Very family friendly and Danielle has made such a comfortable home, both inside and out. Can’t wait to return.

Palapa 5 is great! It was comfortable, clean and equipped with everything we needed to enjoy the beach (chairs, umbrella, cooler, boogie boards & even sand toys!). The kitchen was very well equipped so meal prep was easy and enjoyable in the outdoor kitchen. And a big bonus for me we’re the comfy beds! We enjoyed the complex as a young family and felt very safe and comfortable. Our daughter (age 4) made a few different friends to play with at the pool and who we’d see and play with at the beach. Danielle gave excellent instructions and info about the place and area when we booked which made trip planning so much easier. I would highly recommend Danielle’s place!
