We originally booked 4007 Merland Drive (James Bond Inspired) on 5 March and received a 10% early bird discount. After making all payments, we were informed the reservation had to be cancelled on 5 Apr, a week before check in; however, the host would only change the reservation to another house. The house we were offered was for the same amount, however, we felt that house was not as nice as the one we originally reserved. We found another listing by the same host and it was less expensive (without the early bird discount) than the originally booked house and requested the discount. However, host applied the same rate even though the listing was less. Therefore, we had to cancel the original booking (host would not cancel) and get a refund and then pay for the new listing without any compensation or discount for the inconvenience. The house felt very "lived in" with marks and dirt on the walls. The neighborhood were all of these listings are located did not feel safe at night.

Good house for larger groups, plenty of bathrooms and good sized bedrooms. The location is fairly quiet on a residential street across from a disc golf park. Most everything in Charlotte is within 10-20 min driving. Kitchen has basic necessities and dishes, and there is plenty of seating for hanging out and having meals. Plenty of towels were provided, and there was plenty of hot water for 5 adults to shower. Lots of parking available. The house itself could use a visit from a handyman-the bathroom and bedroom doors don’t latch closed, and the front door lock sometimes doesn’t unlock because the door latch doesn’t work. One thing to note is that the top bunk bed is strictly for children. We had planned on an adult sleeping in that bed, but it’s so flimsy that an adult would be too heavy. So just keep that in mind when booking. Overall a nice place to stay if you’re looking for cheaper accommodation and have a car. Communication was clear and easy.

Was beautiful home. Clean and spacious. Local park and soccer field right next to it! We had a wonderful stay!
