First of all, they did their best to communicate with me and clean the house, even though there was no one home when I booked. I reached the house a few hours after booking, and I found a towel, a fresh bar of soap, and toilet paper. The place has its flaws. The only bathroom faces a floor-to-ceiling metal grill wall and door, and that leads to a public pathway. The bathroom light has to be switched on from inside the house before entering the short corridor with the bathroom door. Other than that, it's about an hour's walk from the town centre, and public transport for solo travellers isn't common. It's also not very luxurious - just adequate - and while I got a private room with fairly good privacy, there was no charging port near the bed. On the whole, it's nice enough. The water worked, and while the shower didn't, there was hot water. I had to buy my drinking water, but the host directed me over the phone to the convenience stores nearby. It's fine for a quiet stay away from the town, especially for a group of friends.

there is location mismatch . it's 4km to city . due to mismatched location I reached the location provided and got to know it's not there..then I had to come back again. stya was good. private room with shared bathroom was not comfortable for me. but I had to manage for one day. I asked host to update the exact location so that guest can reach to exact location without any issue. overall stay was peaceful.

Siddarth's homestay is a pleasant place along Giri road, while you're tailing your way into Kalimpong town. the homestay is spacious, clean, has a quaint touch to it, with the furniture, the carpets, and the pictures you see around. you'll also have an amazing view of the lower hills of the Eastern Himalayas from the terrace! as for Siddarth, personally I found him very accommodating, and helpful! oh, and he makes great food, so much so that you'd probably not want to go to the town at times! :p all through the week I was at Kalimpong, it was a great place to be, to work in peace, and head to the town whenever I wanted to. I'd totally recommend that you'd give a try, and enjoy Siddarth's hospitality of Siddarth! I'll be coming back for sure, next time I'm visiting the town!
