Nestled in the woods near Lake Vermilion, DragonFly Cabin is the perfect place to get away. Play horseshoes, cornhole, cookout, or sit around the fire pit at night. There are 3 Public Boat Launch sites nearby and we are conveniently located near the middle of Lake Vermilion. We have parking with room for your boat or snowmobiles. Local Bar/Restaurant located right down the road. There are also boat rentals available nearby (Birch Point Marine - Alex), and lots of trails in the area as well. DragonFly is a Rustic/Modern Cabin that has that old world charm throughout with the warm feel of the tongue/groove wood walls and ceiling. You will appreciate the attention to detail throughout the cabin and hopefully the cabin will bring you back to a simpler time, enjoying all that nature and The Lake Vermilion area has to offer. We have 2 cabins (LedgeRock & DragonFly) available that are side by side on the 2nd Floor of a 4+ Car Garage. They are basically mirror images of each other, with a common wall separating them. Each cabin is approximately 700 sq. ft. with 2 bedrooms (1 Queen Bed / 1 Full Bed), 1 Bathroom, a full size kitchen and living room. The entrance to each cabin is located at the opposite end of the building and both cabins have an 8' x 12' deck. DragonFly is located at the far LEFT end of the building and parking is available right next to the stairs going up to the cabin. There is room for a boat, snowmobiles, trailer, etc. We have an outside outlet located under the stairs at each end of the building as well available to use for charging batteries on your boat, so it's best to back into the parking space if you have a boat. Our house is located on the property about 50 yards away from the building, but you most likely won't see us much unless you want to, or happen to need something. We don't have AC in either cabin so please be aware of that during the warmer times of the year. It can get pretty warm when the weather is in the upper 80's / 90's. We do have ceiling fans in every room, and we also have 2 smaller fans in each cabin (one in each bedroom) to place in the windows. If you keep the windows & blinds closed during the day, and open them up at night and use the fans to draw in the cooler air at night this greatly helps to keep things comfortable in the cabins (this is exactly what we also do in our house and it works very well). We recently upgraded our Internet to StarLink here, so speeds should average over 100Mbs download speed and we have a dedicated Guest Network. We work from home and depend on the Internet for our income so please don't stream movies and videos because this could use up bandwidth and greatly slow the Internet speed for everyone. All bedding and towels are supplied. You will need to bring your own shampoo/conditioner/bodywash. We have a hair dryer in each cabin, hand soap, dish soap, salt/pepper, coffee/coffee maker, charcoal grill and a fully stocked kitchen with all the basics. We don't have cable, but each cabin has a tv with basic local channels, a dvd player, and a small assortment of dvd's. There are various board games in each cabin, as well as a horseshoe pit in the backyard along with cornhole games located in the storage bench. Finally, we are NOT located directly on the lake but there is lake access nearby. You can literally walk either direction on our road and you'll run directly into the lake (Daisy Bay to the east & Frazier Bay to the west). Our property is secluded in the woods and can't be seen from the road.
