We spent a month at Andrew’s place and don’t think we could’ve picked a better spot for our getaway. The incredible view (day AND night), accompanied by the constant sound of the ocean was a real tonic. Don’t let the steep driveway keep you away: we’re in our mid-sixties and my husband took 15 minutes to walk down to the beach and then back up as his cardio workout every morning! Because we were there for a month, we had time to visit other beaches, but can honestly say that the beach right below (Brighton Salt Pond) was the best of them. Facilities, food, drink and surf are literally right there. If you’re there longer than a week, rent a car for sure (groceries, restaurants, etc.), and if the walk back up from the beach is worrisome, then you can always drive down and back! The pictures accurately describe the place, the facilities were conducive to our four week stay, and Andy was a helpful and responsive host.

This is a spot to relax and enjoy the sound of the birds with breatiful views. The black beach sand is beautiful and people are so friendly. Go check out Huffles beach bar. The best Barracuda I’ve ever tried. The only downfall is the driveway. It is extremely steep. You have to be athletic which we didn’t mind but for others, I would recommend taxi service which Andy can help with..

I stayed for 10 days and i felt very safe and like i was home. It was nice to be able to cook and do laundry and do our own thing. Andy was never intrusive and always friendly. There was some construction work that i wished we were warned about but other than that it was super great and a challenging but good walk down and up from the beach. The beach was fantastic as well. As shown in the photos. A really great quiet beach during the week and packed with locals on the weekend. Lots of families and energy and life. Not like a hotel beach that caters to hotel guests. A lovely community space.

Andy foi muito gentil e nos ajudou em tudo que precisamos. Estávamos na ilha à trabalho e não tínhamos carro a nossa disposição o tempo todo, os supermercados e etc ficam longe, mas Andy nos ajudou e levou ele próprio no nosso primeiro dia para fazer compras de itens que foram essenciais nos demais dias da estadia. A comunicação com ele foi super rápida e eficaz.

Je recommande c’est certain ce petit coin de paradis. La vue est incroyablement belle, autant sur la mer que sur les montagnes. À 5 minutes de marche, il y a une belle plage au sable noir qui est très agréable d’aller, autant pour la mer que pour le petit resto direct sur la plage. Pour la maison, tout était très bien, sauf le lit de la petite chambre qui est un peu dure et les oreillers soit très minces ou très grosses, mais l’emplacement et le reste de la maison comblent ces petits détails facilement. Andy a été très aidant et accommodant toute la semaine. Que ce soit pour la location d’une voiture, de demander le service d’un taxi ou même nous donner pleins d’infos sur quoi voir dans la région. Il nous a même suggéré un resto où il a appelé pour nous pour faire la réservation. Très beau séjour!!
