We have been coming to Gariwerd National Park over many years. Our stay in the Country Lane Cottage was just fabulous! We loved the country ambience with the fireplace and all windows opening to the beautiful Australian bush. There was a relaxing verandah from which we could sit and see kangaroos and multitudes of Australian birds ( white cockatoos were our favourite) The inside was pristine and very clean! We loved the fabulous new bathrooms, the soft carpet and the lounge/dining area. There was even a split system heater/cooler for those evenings when we didn’t light the fireplace! The kitchen had everything we needed and the bedrooms were cosy with electric blankets and soft clean doonas/blankets. There were board games in the cupboards as well! Next time when we come back to Gariwerd NP we will definitely be staying at the Country Lane Cottage again!

House was lovely, very clean upon arrival. Managing hosts were extremely inconsiderate although. Bushfires occurred in the area days prior to arrival, Grampians area was on Extreme alert with a total fire ban due to three days of 38° weather, parts of the National park was closed and music festival 30min away was cancelled after encouraging people not to come to the region days prior; yet no consideration for our safety was given to us by the hosts under extenuating circumstances. Managing hosts refused cancellation and did not engage in discussion of re-booking our 3 nights to another weekend. Checkout had an unnecessarily long list of demands, they sent repeated messages asking us to take the bins down the street for them. Over communication, unnecessary checkout demands and complete disregard for our safety by the managing host put a dampener on what was otherwise an amazing stay.

Beautiful Airbnb we had cockatiels straight up on the verandah and beautiful notices nice and quite with traffic

We loved our stay in this gorgeous and magical cottage. There was plenty of room for us with our four kids. Close to the town centre, and an easy drive to so many beautiful places. The kangaroos and wallaby's visited, and cockatoos and kookaburras too. We were in heaven. There was nothing that our hosts hadn't thought of to make our stay unforgettable.

We had a lovely stay, the cottage was very welcoming, clean and about 1.5k walking distance to the town - which is great for an evening stroll. The wifi is a bit unreliable, but I think that’s just the natural environment of the Grampians- it’s a great excuse for some social media down time.
