The location of this place and the cafe they have stood out for me. I was looking for a palce with basic ammenities and good connectivity in Lucknow, and Shaloo's place ticked all the boxes. The healthy food menu was a bonus. The staff is courteous and friendly. There is some effort required on cleanliness.

Due to a medical emergency in the family I had to visit Lucknow and decided to chose this place. I choose Airbnb because I prefer home stay, all my experience with Airbnb London, Scotland, Vienna and within homeland Chandigarh were absolutely fabulous. This place was diffident experience because I’m used to Airbnb as home stay but this place is similar to 1 or 2 star hotel, the staff told me that this is a collage PG and gets listed online when students are not there. This place is has an active restaurant on ground floor - which is a plus but Zomato, Swiggy works too; the folks in restaurant always helped with plates and spoons. Do check the items before ordering included breakfast as several items on menu are chargeable and I was not told upfront and was charged. I was also billed for water bottle hence I ordered via Blinkit, RO water was containers weren’t up to the mark. I always choose Airbnb because I enjoy personal attention you get by the owner in a home stay, all my experience with Airbnb London, Scotland, Vienna and within homeland Chandigarh were absolutely fabulous. But since this was a PG, the owner was running a bigger arrangement and I could never got the comfort I expect via Airbnb. I never met the owner and whenever I tried to contact I could never reach them and had to personally request the restaurant staff and be at their mercy to get anything as it took them ages since they were running a separate business. Had family medical issues hence chose this place, I stayed for 2 nights then extended for another two via the app and payed separately for two night my 10year daughter stayed with my wife. This place is old, room is very small and and has very basic furniture, ideal for a bachelor student but not for a small family. Amenities are extremely basic and facility management is generic. I’d wish all the best to the owner in their business venture and would appreciate if possible to clearly mention in their listing that its not a home stay.
