The perfect romantic hideaway for a couple. Lovely terrace with umbrella. Equiped with a brick BBQ. A kitchen with all you need to cook a nice meal for two people and to make a creamy cappuccino in the morning. On the first floor you will find the bathroom and the small but comfortable living room with fireplace. There is a second terrace with two sunbeds and tiny table and chairs which provides the perfect spot for your morning coffee with croissants whilst looking out over the terrain. The little dovecote is beautiful and cosy and built in beautiful yellow stones providing the authentic charm. Le Pigeonnier is one of the 5 accommodations on the property (Petite Vallée), but it enjoys incredible privacy. You can use the shared swimmingpool and enjoy the permaculture garden or go for a walk in the forest bordering the accommodation.

Le Pigeonnier is a little piece of paradise. It is located in the most beautiful setting (bordering a forrest), with great walks, literally, from the doorstep. It has everything you could need/want for a very comfortable stay. Yasmin & Hans are wonderful hosts - very friendly, responsive and helpful. We also had a magical hot air balloon flight (very close to La Petite Vallée), went canoeing on the Dordogne River and visited some of the beaux villages in the area. Thanks very much Yasmin & Hans. We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Le Pigeonnier.
What a beautiful, peaceful valley- a really lovely spot very close to the Dordogne river and the fairytale castles and chateaus in the area. The swimming pool was great in the hot weather and the focus on eco-friendly living, the wonderful outdoor kitchen, fabulous pizza evening, the friendly hosts and beautiful pigonniere made for a very happy stay. Thank you Yasmin and Hans for everything
Net terug van een heerlijke vakantie in la Petite Vallée. Hans en Yasmin doen er alles aan om jou een ontspannende vakantie te geven. Wij verbleven zelf in le Pigeonnier, ideaal om even te herbronnen samen met je partner. De locatie is top! Ver genoeg van alles om even helemaal tot rust te komen maar dicht genoeg bij allerlei activiteiten in de mooie Dordogne-streek. Hoogtepuntje voor ons was zeker het farm-to-fork diner, enorm lekker eten bereid door Yasmin en Hans zelf en geserveerd in een gezellige setting. Bedankt voor de gastvrijheid Yasmin & Hans, blijf zo verder doen.
We werden zeer hartelijk ontvangen door Yasmin en Hans in hun prachtige vallei. We sliepen in de "duiventil". Een heel gezellig huisje met alles wat je nodig hebt(goede keuken !) en een heerlijk bed. Veel privacy en als je wil kan je altijd iets vragen aan Hans of Yasmin.Ze zijn super aardig en gastvrij. De omgeving van de vallei is prachtig, franser kan het niet. We hebben ook genoten van het 5 gangen diner, zeer restaurant waardig, eigenlijk beter nog. Wij hebben nu al zin om een keer terug te gaan.
Ce fut une agréable surprise que de découvrir ce lieu baigné dans la verdure et loins de la turpitude des villes isolé mais entouré par des jolie maison et jardins de la région. Hôte très sympas et à l’écoute. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les initiatives de nos hôtes pour donner des couleurs à notre séjour dans ce lieu paisible. Les dîners gastronomique organisés autour de la piscine avec d’autre locataire étaient des moments de rencontre et de convivialités.

The Perigord Noir with its rivers, limestone cliffs and forested hillsides is the perfect location for the active among us or for kids with energy to burn. Enjoy a multitude of outdoor activities in one of the most picturesque landscapes in the world.
The beautiful landscape is dotted with fairytale like castles & caves. There is plenty of opportunity to dive into the rich history of the Périgord Noir.
All summer long, visitors get the chance to nibble their way around farmer’s markets. Every town has it’s own market and you can find one on every single day of the week.
The Dordogne Valley is home to an enchanting mix of picture-perfect villages that have retained their French countryside charm. The most spectacular ones are all less than a 30 minutes drive from Petite Vallée.
The Dordogne is a true canoeists paradise. With hundreds of kilometres of meandering river, you’ll paddle through forested valleys, past ancient villages, and beneath chateaux perched high on limestone cliffs. There are canoe rental companies all across the Dordogne. For the full experience, rent a canoe for a full day and take the time to stop for swims and a picnic on one of the many beaches along the river.
Hiking is a great way to experience the Dordogne. It gives you the chance to breath in the fragrant air, watch out for wildlife and chat to locals along the way. Whenever the trail dips down to the river, there’s an opportunity for a refreshing swim. There are several great walking trails from the property into the forest, to the guarded beach in Coux-et-Bigaroque or to the village itself. All trails are well marked, but you can also pick up maps of the walking trails from tourist offices.
The Dordogne’s gentle rolling hills are criss-crossed with hundreds of kilometres of waymarked cycling routes and trails. Minor roads and gravel tracks provide plenty of opportunity for leisurely cycle touring. And, forested valleys provide mountain bikers with superb terrain to explore. If you don’t feel like bringing your own bike, there is a bike rental nearby. They also deliver (electric) bicycles to Petite Vallée

I'm Yasmin, originally from the Amsterdam, Netherlands. But we have moved to a beautiful little valley in the Dordogne. My husband, baby and I moved here since october 2020. We currently run a tourist accommodation Petite Vallée in the heart of the Dordogne and we are looking forward to welcome you in our little paradise.
