Note that this "Garden Cottage" is actually located at the intersection of two roads one of which is State Highway so there will be quite noticeable traffic noise. Plus, as other mentioned it is close to the airport so you will be hearing landing planes too. It is not too bad in terms of noise at night though. Also note that all cottage's windows (none of which can be opened for fresh air) are facing not only the garden but also the shared driveway (there are other buildings on the grounds) so you will have to keep your curtains closed if you want some privacy. Surrounding are bland: mostly highway with gas station and some industrial buildings. Otherwise: the heating is good though that "as well as a fire for cosy nights in" is not a real fireplace but just an electric heater with fire imitation. Old TV (which I did not use anyway) but decent Internet connection (and good mobile internet). Overall I think it was too expensive for what they offer in return. I would not stay here again.

Incredible stay, Natalie and family do a wonderful job. Would absolutely stay again. Such a beautiful quiet tranquil cottage! So clean and tidy and everything you could possibly need. Very accommodating of a late check in.

Beautiful well appointed cosy cottage and the perfect location for my colleague and I to work and attend hui in Christchurch. Close to the airport and town, private with ample parking and a beautiful outlook. Fluffy towels and crispy linen, attention to detail makes this accommodation a home away from home. Would highly recommend and would certainly rebook for future visits to Christchurch. Ngā mihi nui Natalie-Rose.
