This cabin overlooks the sugar woods. It’s quiet (other than the sounds of the animals), peaceful and perfect for star gazing at night. The cabin is a one room living area with one full bath and has a kitchenette, sleeping and dining area. This cabin is equipped with a full bathroom, kitchenette with small refrigerator, coffee maker, BBQ grill, utensils, dining table and chairs, couch (futon), front porch overlooking the woods, fire pit and picnic table.

My stay with Jim and Margaret was exactly what I was hoping for, peaceful and relaxing. The cabin is clean and cozy AND they have the most handsome peacock I’ve ever seen! Thanks to Jim and Margaret!!
The cabin was clean, convenient and overall a nice find. But we think that they need to address the electrical supply to the cabin…the electrical cords were exposed to the elements and didn’t seem appropriate to meet the needs of the cabin’s appliances. We think it would be an easy adjustment. They are good people:)
We had an unforgettable trip; the cabin and property was so quiet, clean, and cozy. Jim & Margaret are wonderfully hospitable, super responsive and always around if we needed them. We especially loved learning about their maple production and sampling their delicious maple products. The gift basket was such a touching gesture and came in clutch for the long ride home. We highly, highly recommend staying with Jim and Margaret!
Very clean, cozy, and peaceful cabin. We sampled their maple syrup that is made on site and got to meet Peepers the peacock!
I was only in town for a few hours for a Mary Chapin Carpenter concert, but this place was *stunning!* I wish it hadn't been so cold and rainy because I would have loved to walk the property for morethan a few minutes. I booked Cabin 1, but ended up stayingin Cabin 2, which was just lovely and a little bigger than what I rented but with better hot water 😁 The goodies they left were so good I bought more before I left. Jim and Margaret were both incredible hosts; I took a full tour because I will need to come back with the hubby in the summer for sure!

Located only 4 miles from our quaint Village of Norwood, be our guest in this Amish built cabin, located on our 60-acre property.
Enjoy the flowing water of the Raquette River only 1.1 miles from the cabin.
Take a stroll in the woods along one of many trails. Pets love to run and sniff the many different scents of the animals living among us.
If you are curious about the Amish way of life, we have several families that travel the road in their horse and buggy, as well as farms that house an array of beautiful horses for you to admire.
Bring your kayak or canoe! Enter the river at one of several sites for a nice day on the water or pack a picnic and enjoy lunch along the river bed.
Are you planning a retreat? We have the perfect place for your group to get away and be one with themselves and nature.
Getting married? We have breath taking fall foliage that will make your wedding pictures perfect!
Bachelor or bachelorette party? Allow us to host it for you at Fine Time Family Fun Center, just on the other side of the property!
You should be able to park right at your cabin (unless Mother Nature says otherwise).
Taxis may be difficult to come by. We are a small town in a rural area.

My husband and I own a sugarbush and produce maple syrup in the spring. We started with Airbnb a few years ago with a cabin in the ADK park. After selling it, we decided to have some glamping sites on our farm where we make syrup. We currently have two glamping sites and a studio apartment above the sugarhouse. Please understand that Airbnb does not have a "glamping" option for our units and have suggested we call them tiny homes.
