This is a really nice chalet in a great location but the Novasol/Airbnb interface did not work well for us. The house: The living space is spacious, comfortable and well-arranged. Plenty of space for the 7 of us including at the dining table and round the sofas. Loads of space for kit, drying room with boot dryer especially nice. Very warm building with easy-to-control underfloor heating. Great cooking facilities (sharp knives, loads of crockery and cutlery, big dishwasher, great fan oven, electronic mixer etc), but a lacking in larger pots and pans for feeding a large group. The beds and bedrooms are nice but downstairs bunk rooms are very small. Upstairs big room had loads of space but no storage furniture in it, and lighting only by bedside lamps. There is only one loo and (separately) one shower. The shower has amazing power and temperature range but only enough water for 6-7 short showers. We could not find the sauna that is mentioned in the title of this listing. It is certainly not where it is pictured on the floor plan, or anywhere else in the building, and we couldn't get into the garage to look for it there. The paperwork supplied was all generic Novasol information, nothing specific to the house or its appliances etc, some conflicting with information given on Airbnb. The communication Novasol/Airbnb: The main issue for us was that we found the communication less straightforward than is usual for Airbnb. We received lots of messages, some long, mostly repetitive and with relevant information not highlighted. The day before arrival we were alerted by a single missed phonecall that we had to speak to someone on the phone (not possible from my workplace!), and that this could not be done via Airbnb. I think the Novasol staff in the area don't have access to the Airbnb system. I strongly suggest you should arrive in hours (before 8pm). We were planning to do so, and when we did speak to the local key holder they were extremely helpful and spoke flawless English. All BA flights were then cancelled and we didn't arrive until 8:30pm, after the office was closed. The key holder was helpful for this as well and offered to leave our key in a letterbox at the Novasol office. We managed to find the "key collection location" (don't follow Googlemaps for Novasol office, it's not in that location) but spent some time looking in the wrong mailbox. When we found our package there was no physical key because the door has a code so there was nothing that couldn't have been conveyed in a short message. The location: The address of the house is also not well represented by Googlemaps: I suspect that if we had managed to meet the key holder they could have described it much better, another reason to arrive in hours. We've noted it with Google so should get fixed. Once you get there, the location is great! If you are going for cross country skiing then the tracks are only 20m away. You just walk down the drive and do a tiny easy cut through: very handy! The sunset views are wonderful. Summary: Despite problems with the interface between Airbnb and Novasol we found this a lovely place to stay, you would just need to arrive in hours and be on the ball and patient to keep on top of the information.
