Our stay at Heidi and Wade's Stay Awhile Cottage was great! The cottage was very cozy, had all the amenities listed and then some, and had nice small touches like fresh flowers throughout the house that made it that much more enjoyable. The farm itself was amazingly peaceful, the air so clean, and the sights and sounds wonderful. The trails throughout the property were nice to use (just bring tick repellent during that season!), and the restaurants recommended were great (Amery Ale Works especially). We were fortunate to meet both Heidi and Wade when we arrived, and communication was top-notch before and during our time there. A wonderful place we hope to visit again in the future!

We had a relaxing weekend at the cottage with two dogs. The cottage was clean and equipped with all the necessities. Very charming, cute, and cozy. Would recommend if you just need a quiet getaway for a few days. Heidi was great with communication and provided all the information we needed to know.

We spent a largely rainy weekend in the cottage which was clean and well-kept, stocked with books and games. Watching the variety of birds at the feeder (rose-breasted grosbeaks and bright yellow finches by the dozens) and the chickens wandering about yard and walking the dog on trails around the farm property were highlights. The place is incredibly peaceful and during our stay the drumming of the ruffed grouse mornings and evenings was prevalent, altho we never spied any. Heidi was an excellent communicator with instructions, and tho we never had a need to reach out for anything, we always felt she was available if any need arose. The decor is charming; plenty of hot water for showers; the kitchen is well-stocked with utensils. Dog-friendly with the stipulations that any conscientious dog owner will find easy to follow. All-in-all, an extremely laid-back, quiet respite from our lives in the city.

This is a fantastic place and we loved everything about it - with one exception, that is really more of a personal preference. The bed upstairs is far too soft, and operates like a taco. Some folks like being in the center of a taco, but being over 25, if I spent the night in that bed I would wake up with a backache. The downstairs bed is fine, the space is just too bright for my preference. Over all this is an unusually lovely space and well worth the time / money.
