We stayed at Susan’s ‘Number One’ in Camden Head. We had a last minute booking and Susan was really helpful and responsive throughout the booking process. Her home is lovely and comfy with a huge back yard which our dog thoroughly enjoyed. It’s situated right near the water with lots of walking tracks to lookouts and beaches. Was perfect for a weekend getaway!

Beautiful location but a number of problems ruined our stay. The bedroom downstairs was not fit to sleep in. The smell of damp and dogs was overwhelming and it was like a little cave. The bathroom light stopped working halfway through our stay and we did not have the time to ring the agent to get it fixed. And of course there was no air conditioning and opening the windows and using the very noisy fan in the lounge did not alleviate the 30 plus temperatures. For a pet friendly house this one had the strongest smell of dogs and the most dog hair on furnishings and bedding. We have a Bichon with wool and no hair due to allergies. However, the worst part of this sad experience was to be called by the agent mid stay to ask us to lower our internet use. A definite problem when you have a large family on holidays that this property claims to accommodate. There was no mention of this in the property description. Over $2000 and definitely not worth the hassle for the amazing location.
