We had a great time staying at Mixalis' place. The place has a stunning view, fantastic walkability and the hosts are generally quite helpful. The only things I would point out are that the water pressure in the shower is slightly weak (not a dealbreaker for us), and that there was slight confusion when it came to adding 1 x extra headcount. If we paid cash for our additional headcount, we were not able to get a receipt/confirmation of payment. This is a little strange in Greece, given it is a legal requirement to provide a receipt and also the practice literally everywhere. Other than that, the place is stunning, great amenities, hosts are friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts are wonderful - don't snack before breakfast if you want to enjoy!

Bonjour, Le logement était parfait pour nous et vraiment joli. La piscine était suffisamment grande (même si froide en ce début du mois de mai ce qui est normal) Les petits déjeuner étaient copieux et servis sur notre terrasse! ! Le personnel est très très gentil. Le plus : les conseils pour les restaurants et le bar à cocktail étaient top ! Je remercie les filles de l’accueil qui nous ont réservé tout nos restaurants . Vraiment tout était parfait Merci encore Nathalie

The villa was beautiful and very clean. Exactly like the pictures. The staff was very kind and helpful - special thank you to Despina for all of her help!! Breakfast was OUTSTANDING and we appreciated the daily cleaning and ability to order food/drinks to the villa. We felt very taken care of. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

Wow. Our experience at Este was so far beyond a typical Airbnb experience! Here’s why: -A fantastic daily breakfast delivered to our patio (omelettes, pastries, fruit, veggies, coffee, and orange juice) -Daily housekeeping -Staff who went above and beyond to help us with various requests, like getting a Pack and Play in our room for our toddler, arranging day tours, helping us get dinner reservations, giving advice on what to do around the island, and even ordering food to be delivered to us when we arrived One note of awareness: The location is somewhat secluded, which is both great (because it’s quiet and has a beautiful view of the sea to the east) and a little challenging at times. We were advised not to rely on the bus system that goes around the island from Fira because it can be unreliable and you can be waiting outside for an hour in the heat for the bus to come. (This was pretty different from what we had read online, so I was thankful for the heads-up when we arrived!) Instead of renting a car, we used a transportation company the hotel recommended, Santours. Our average cost to get somewhere on the island was €30-40 (plus a tip) each way, so that did add up quickly, but the drivers were incredibly friendly, easy to communicate with through a messaging app, and always available when we needed them. All this to say: I would would recommending budgeting well for transportation costs if you plan to stay here since it is a little further removed. The good news is that you’re only 5-10 minutes from Fira by car, 10-15 minutes by car from the airport, 30-40 minutes by car from Oia, etc., so you’re never far from the action!

We loved our stay. The property is beautiful and spotless. Each morning we were treated to a delicious breakfast whilst overlooking the Aegean Sea. The staff are all fantastic, helpful and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The walk into Thira is only around 15 minutes along part or a donkey track. I would recommend hiring a car to explore the island. The host organised one for us which was delivered and collected from the property. We will definitely be back.
