When the stars come out each night, everyone will love cozying up next to the fireplace with a cup of hot cocoa as the snow falls quietly outside, and everyone looks forward to another day of skiing! And during the winter months, Saturday night fireworks can be viewed from the living room with your friends and family. Providing on-mountain convenience without the noisy crowds, the Moose Lodge is truly a luxury vacation home. What's nearby: You won't have to go far to experience the best of this mountain town, as Sunday River Resort is a half-mile away where you will find endless ski runs, wonderful local restaurants, hiking, and gear shops galore! When you want to venture out a bit further and have a change of scenery, downtown Bethel is seven miles south offering even more restaurants, shops, and grocery stores to stock up on necessities. While in town, be sure to check out The Gem Theater to catch a flick. If you are after even more outdoorsy fun, Grafton Notch State Park is also home to pristine trails, cross-country skiing, and fishing spots! Things to know: Walk to lifts 4WD/traction may be required in winter This home can also be rented as two separate units: Moose Lodge Unit A and Moose Lodge Unit B. No dog(s) are welcome in this home. No other animals are allowed without specific Vacasa approval. <br/>Parking notes: There is free parking available for 6 vehicles. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.
We booked this place for family and friends who are we're coming in from out of state to join us at a wedding. When we got there there was trash left out from a previous rental. The trash was leaking and extremely smelly. We contacted Airbnb several times via text message and phone call they reassured us that someone would come out to clean it up. The next day again we contacted via phone call and message and still no one showed up. When we left the following day the trash was still there. The smell had seeped into the house in bedrooms and we ended up having to open up windows just to get the smell out. It was extremely embarrassing for us and uncomfortable for our guests who were from Florida and they were already cold now we had to open up windows. Had they taken care of the trash right away we would have rated higher but due to the embarrassment we don't want this to happen to anyone else.
For the price that I rented this home for, I must say I was a little underwhelmed. Going through this property management company was frustrating at times due to the many people that you had to deal with for similar problems and issues. Here are a few of the things that made our trip frustrating at times especially during check-in. One of the more frustrating issues was the downstairs section of this house which we had also rented was keypad locked and the proper codes were not given to us. We had to wait over an hour but for certain guess we’re allowed to check into their rooms due to this section being closed off. We later found out that the owner usually expect you to walk outside of the house and around the backside to enter the lower level living quarters. For the people that had to stay in this area we found this very unsafe and unnecessary given that we had the entire house rented. -Downstairs Bathroom left uncleaned from the previous guests. Covid Policy violation:: (Pictures sent to owner) -Windows do not have any screens, Very frustrating given that the house does not have air-conditioning. -Not given the proper door codes to access area of house we rented. Guests unable to enter their room upon check in. -Step going from the outside into the downstairs apartment is way out of code as the step height up is completely unsafe and one guest ended up falling into the stairwell because of it. Originally this was how we were asked to access the lower level even at night. -Internet router not working and pw not correct. Luckily we had some very tech savvy people that were able to correct this and we left the new password on the fridge. -Kitchen cabinet lose and falling off, eventually did. Also same above fridge cabinets. (pictures sent) -Lose dining room table chairs ready to break/swaying side to side. -Ice machine broken -No trash cans outside to place full bags in. With the garage door temporary left open during the day an animal was able to get into the garage and start to rip apart the trash bags. Garage very dirty.
