Overall, our stay at Laura's place was great; however, when we arrived (early with permission from Laura), the home had very clearly not been cleaned and was a mess (dead bugs all over the floor, excrement in the toilet, laundry on the floor, etc.) It was a holiday weekend and so took Laura some time to find help to clean. In the meantime, my friends and I cleaned the house. Laura/Airbnb waived our cleaning fee, which we appreciated.

House is stunning. In fantastic shape with tons to do between the sauna, pool, hot tub and bonfire area. Extremely private home. Would stay there again no questions asked.

Laura was the perfect host; extremely responsive but never intrusive. We think the photos of the pool don't do it justice, it's bigger than we thought it would be. The house was immaculately clean and very well maintained. Zero dirt or dust, we could have eaten off of the floors. We'd love to stay here again! One note for anyone traveling with elderly folks or young children.. there's no easy ground-level access into the house. Also there are two sliding doors that egress from the kitchen onto the pool deck and there was no way for us to lock those in a way that prevented our toddlers from being able to open them on their own (the lock latches are easy to reach and unlock). That being said the place wasn't mis-advertised in any way shape or form. It was a dream vacation house and we had a blast staying there!

Prior to arriving, Laura requested that we buy a special kind of garbage bag needed for the dumpster (around $20 that we would not be reimbursed for) because she did not have any in the home. When we arrived, however, the house had an adequate supply. On our last night, my pregnant sister went to the bathroom and the toilet flooded - leaving her to have to clean the defecation that was all over the bathroom, a traumatic experience for her. After checkout, Laura charged us $500 for the broken toilet (which was a result of faulty plumbing), claiming someone vomited all over the bathroom and didn't clean it up. Overall it was a great house and Laura was communicative, but these two instances put a damper on an otherwise good weekend.
