Horrible experience. Requested 3 people stay with 2 bedrooms and a TV. When arrived it was a 1 bed 1 bedroom that was bare with no TV. Host stated she didn’t read the message sent to her. I had paid $224 on Airbnb and the amount was charged before arrival on 2/12/24. Eventually host placed us at different property indicating fee paid to her would be fee paid to new host without further payment. Not true so new host demands direct payment greater than already paid to Airbnb. Airbnb when I called said too bad so sad about the situation and told me money could not be returned by Airbnb since Airbnb did not receive any payment. Not true I have receipt. We then all had to vacate the premises halfway through our stay. We had to find a new rental that night and Airbnb refused to even help. This is fraud and I will be reporting this to my bank for refund and to the JCF. Short point - Don’t use Airbnb in Jamaica. Especially if you are white and a tourist. Just disgusted.
