This is a marvelous house in the wonderful town of Fuchsstadt Germany. We spent more than 3 months here and really got to know the area, the owners, and the house. First the house, it's a wonderful little house with 2/3 bedrooms depending on how you set it up. We ended up turning one of the rooms into an office so we could work from home and used the other two as bedrooms. While the pictures show bunk beds, when we were there they were configured as two single beds on the ground. This worked better for us but if you are expecting bunk beds for your kids, be sure to check. The two bathrooms are nice, the large main one on the ground floor has a separate tub shower setup as well as a washer & dryer. The upstairs bathroom is quite small but is fully functional - my wife really liked the towel warmer. The downstairs is a nice layout and a good size - the pictures make it look a bit small but it fit our family just fine. The dinner table would easily sit six. The kitchen is probably the best equipped kitchen of any place we've ever stayed, there is literally everything you need for daily life plus a whole bunch of baking stuff if you get inspired. One thing to note about the kitchen is that it is really designed around a single cook - my wife and I like to cook together and things can get a little tight in there when you have two bodies trying to open drawers and stand at the stove. As I mentioned, we did some work from home and the Internet was plenty fast for that. They have gigabit Internet which is plenty for kids to be streaming and parents to be working. The Internet covered the whole house easily and part of the yard. Speaking of the yard, one thing that is not clear from the description or the pictures is that the house itself is stand alone but it is part of a compound so that the outdoor space is shared. While not a big deal for us, it is worth knowing ahead of time that you can run into 'neighbors' when in the yard space. The space itself consists of a nice deck area with furniture for sitting and eating, a big patio area and a small grassy garden. We really enjoyed the BBQ - it is a really nice Webber unit and very easy to use. The house is situated sort of at the edge of town which means it is nice and quiet and there are is a couple nice hikes you can take right from the front door. The town of Fuchsstadt is quite small and cute, we really enjoyed walking the streets and the local playground. There is a bakery for fresh bread, a kabob place, and a couple guest houses were you can get a good meal. Shopping must be done in one of the nearby towns. You will definitely need a car. Finally, the hosts of this house are just wonderful. They were super helpful with suggestions of things to do and where to go when we first arrived and also very welcoming. Any issues or questions were quickly answered - we felt very well taken care of. Overall, this is a great house in a wonderful part of Germany and we would love to return again if we are able.

Zur Zeit gibt es nur ein Restaurant in Fuchsstadt und Essensbestellung endet um 20 Uhr, hauptsächlich wegen Personalmangel, aber ansonsten sehr angenehm und engagiert.

Ein sehr gemütliches sauberes Haus in absolut ruhiger Lage. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. :) vielen Dank!
