Reserve la casa a pesar de que sabía que el precio era excesivo y que estaba al lado de la carretera por la posibilidad de llevar a mis mascotas. Sin embargo, la propiedad no está cercada y tiene vecinos colindantes con todo tipo de animales domésticos por lo que tuve que tener a uno de mis perros atados durante los cuatro días. El precio de la casa es muy desproporcionado para los dos dormitorios que ofrece y la baja calidad de las instalaciones. La construcción es precaria, la ducha de un dormitorio no funcionaba, el suelo de la cocina estaba inclinado, la refri no funcionaba bien, los colchones estaban sucios forrados con fundas de plástico y en las áreas de convivencia había cámaras. En general, se requeriría de muchas mejoras y manenimiento para poder hacer el lugar confortable. Si bien la casa está situada en un lugar privilegiado y los anfitriones y cuidador son muy amables, el precio no se corresponde con el producto ofrecido, por el que no pagaría más de 70 dólares la noche.

Ostuma Mountain Lodge offered a stunning retreat with breathtaking views. Despite the unusually cold weather for Nicaragua at 12 degrees Celsius (53 Fahrenheit), the cozy cabin provided a warm haven. While I'd recommend adding heating for extra comfort indoors, the outdoor fire pit was a delightful solution for making S'mores and enjoying hot chocolate. The panoramic views of the mountains and Pacific volcano were truly awe-inspiring, especially during the foggy mornings around 6 am when the sounds of monos congos filled the air, immersing us in the beauty of nature. Don Juan Carlos, the helpful housekeeper, enhanced our experience, making our stay even more enjoyable. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time, and we're definitely planning to come back. Notably, no need for a 4x4 vehicle, and finding the lodge was a breeze using Maps or Waze. Overall, an amazing escape with just the right mix of comfort and natural wonders.

We loved Linda's place. It was peaceful and beautiful. I def recommend picking up groceries on the way as the nearest grocery is about 20 mins away up and down the mountain. We visited Selva Negra nearby for lunch one day and although the food was just okay, the scenery is beautiful and it is a nice place to take a walk. We didnt do too much else since we had toddlers with us but they really enjoyed the trampoline and seeing the chickens and dogs. Highly recommend

the Chalet is in the beautiful mountains of Matagalpa, next to the road to Jinotega km 141.8 and not 142.5 as discribed. we missed the entrance because there es not a sign that indicates where to turn, but after 5 min we found the little house. As said before it is located next to the road, so there is a lot of noice day and night because of it. many trucks and buses passing by very loud and that makes impossible to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding in peace. the Chalet has an incredible view of the mountains...just perfect sunsets every afternoon. this is the most beautiful think about this place and also the monkeys on the trees! The Chalet needs a lot of maintenance and since everything is outside and in a open space, it gets very cold at night. The host answered very quickly and the cuidador Juan Carlos helped in every way possible. both were very friendly the whole time.
