Hidden away in the ancient Templepan woodland the WyldWood glamping site is the perfect place for a peaceful weekend getaway, or as base for exploring the the local area. Situated just outside of London, easily accessible from the M25, and a stones throw from Warner Brothers Studios and Langleybury Children's farm. Wyldwood glamping consists of several large pitches, spread around the woodland site. Each of the tents is furnished with all the essentials you need, in its own unique style. There is a shared outside washing up and prep station, fire pit, composting toilet and shared shower unit. You'll have plenty of room to spread about relax and if you're lucky enjoy some of the local wildlife. Red Kites, pheasants and deer can be spotted roaming around. Your tent will be set up with two generous double beds and two single beds, duvets, pillows and blankets. There is also a lovely wood burning stove in the tent to keep you warm and cozy. We do ask that you bring your own towels if you think you'll ice the warm water showers. There's plenty of space to unpack your essentials and make yourself at home for your stay. As this is a 6M tent, you can fit two more people into the tent. We do ask that you bring your own beds and bedding though. There are fire pits to cook on, in the cooking area, with a starter pack of wood to get you going. The washing up station has room for you to prep your campfire feast and clean up afterwards; a basic selection of pots, pans, cups, plates and cutlery are available for you to use in the large plastic boxes. Tables and chairs are close by to each tent for you to enjoy your food outdoors as well as a couple in your tent in case the weather takes a turn for the worst. Our fantastic accessibility from the M25 does mean that you might be able to hear the motorway but it really does disappear into the background after a short while, however if you're a very light sleeper then bring some earplugs just in case.
Charlie couldn’t have been more attentive or helpful! The site is beautiful, and the tent immaculate. I would fully recommend.
Would just like to thank charlie (and paul) for our weekend away. Was a last minute booking(just a week before) but charlie was in contact with us leading up to our stay, while we was there and even after we left. Charlie was there to meet us(even in the pouring rain) explained everthing to us and showed us around( since covid this was the 1st thing we had done out of work and charlie made the whole experience so much easier and relaxed) everthing you could possible think of was supplied, but if we needed any extras like wood or charcoal, there was an honest box where you could buy them, plus extra pots, pans and even games too. We took a wonder out for a walk and on our way out we met paul, who was really helpful in directing us to the local shops and even checked to make sure we had everything we needed. The good old english weather was aginst us, but we had a fire pit and a bbq included(the bbq was used on the 1st night but was able to use the fire pit on the second night) plus an indoor burning to help dry out our clothes, keep us warm and a nice comfy bed too. We live under the flight path to Heathrow, so to us the backround sound from the m25 was minor to what we are used to( we could hardly hear it) We would and already have recommended to our friends and family and would definitely visit again. Charlie and paul are great host.
Wow! What an amazing night we had in this stunning location, in the middle of nature, surrounded by trees, wild animals and starlit skies. We saw birds of prey, pheasants, deer and bats plus moths and caterpillars. Both Paul and Charlie were friendly, kind and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed cooking tea on the fire pit outdoors, then having a cosy warm tent inside, just a few minutes after the log burner was lit. We loved how everything was kind to the environment and that we were ‘off grid’ but in comfort. The beds and duvets were warm an comfortable- we were lucky to have awesome weather (but if it had been colder, we’d have been lovely and warm still). The toilet was fun and easy to use (especially with the fairy lights that surprised us!) and not smelly. The shower was very clean and simple to use and the honesty box was useful for extra pots/pans if we needed them. We were given plenty of wood to start the fires and, as we only stayed one night, we didn’t need to purchase any more from the honesty box. There are forest paths to stroll along and, even though you can hear the motorway as it is pretty close by, after a few hours, it was less noticeable. What an amazing experience we had. We would recommend this to couples, families, groups of friends, all ages...anyone who wants to spend time away from normal life and in nature for a few days. Thank you!

The glamping site is a dream for Paul and I. Having been friends for many years, we have bonded over our love of camping, nature and being kind to the environment. We wanted to find a way to share this fantastic wood with like minded people and have created a little oasis that we hope you will enjoy as much as we do.
