Great stay in a wonderful home. Super host, responsive, thoughtful and even decorated the house for Christmas.
A beautiful home in a peaceful natural setting. Clarissa’s local recommendations were all we needed to maximise our time in Kent and there was plenty to do within a short drive of the house. She also went above and beyond by leaving toys for the kids and giving us kid friendly places to visit nearby. We loved our stay!
Our Christmas at Sole Street House was nothing short of perfect. The manor, inside and out is spectacular. Such beautiful rooms to gather, rest and to celebrate. It was such a special stay. The cleanliness was 5 stars as was communication with Clarissa in the months leading up to the trip. We were a group of 11 and the size and comfort of the home allowed us to comfortably be together for 5 days. I definitely recommend Sole Street House and would happily book again.
Wow! What an incredible place to connect with family and share life. We had the most magnificent stay and can only offer thanks for being given the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful property. The service and hosting was exceptional and we would like to visit often! What a gift on so many way. 5 star first class !
This is an enormous house, very tastefully furnished and decorated. We appreciated the artwork! All the rooms are a good size and some have a private bathroom. The garden was our favourite part, our daughter loved going to look at the neighbouring horses. This house is home to a young family and they kindly left us some toys and books out. There are also two high chairs, a cot and part of the upstairs is secured with safety gates. I was mindful that there were some hazards for young children so make sure your party is fully on board with containing them! Whenever we had issues they were responded to swiftly and efficiently. The area has a lot to offer. It felt like we were approx 15 minutes away from most places we wanted visit e.g. Canterbury, Whitstable. The sandy beaches are a little further away. All in all a great house for a large gathering.

Greetings from the countryside here in Kent! I live here with my husband and our two little daughters. I was born in Northern Ireland and grew up in Perth, Australia before moving to London as a qualified barrister. We moved to the country a few years ago where we have had great fun doing up an old Manor House dating back to the 1500s. We love all things property related and are passionate about travel!
