1. Check-in was supposed to be at 4pm, but villa wasn’t ready until 5:30pm. 2. 2 sun loungers were broken. We were promised these would be replaced, but they never were. 3. We found a cockroach in the living room within 10 minutes of arriving, and another one in the kitchen the following day. 4. Our bedroom door would not open from the inside, which meant we were locked in on the first morning of our holiday, until a family member woke up and was able to open the door from the other side. 5. The toaster didn’t work. 6. There was a cigarette packet and cigarette butts on the floor. This is completely unacceptable when they knew that there was going to be a child staying there. 7. The pool wasn’t cleaned prior to our arrival and wasn’t cleaned until 3:30pm on our last day, despite repeated requests and promises. This meant my 3-year-old nephew was unable to use the pool for the duration of our stay. Would return to Olhos de Água but wouldn’t stay here again or recommend this company.
