We are at the top of a winding forested drive. On this protected land it is common to see deer, eagles and other wildlife. The attached guest suite has a private entry off a covered deck. Downstairs there is a kitchen, bathroom with heated floors, place to sit and enjoy morning coffee or tea. The large upper bedroom loft has a sitting area with a view overlooking the treetops and beautiful sunsets. Walk to trails, beaches and historic Hope Bay with the Hub restaurant and Art Gallery . Your space is well insulated and quiet, custom built bedroom loft with beautiful woodwork provides a warm home like feel. There are two levels to the nearly 500 sqft space, bathroom and covered porch on the lower level and a large bedroom and sitting area upstairs. No wifi but there is good cell phone connection. The loft bedroom has a TV for the DVD player and movie library.

Amazing space situated in a beautiful forest. Space was much bigger than we thought. Very peaceful and relaxing. Host was very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend.
What a beautiful private place nestled in the forest. Everything on the Island was easy to get to. Laura checked in with us and made sure we had everything we needed. Everything was spotless and the beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

The loft was comfortable and clean. Much what I had expected. Both Laura and Peter were very friendly and welcoming. The place is quite remote, so if you are looking for quiet and peace, this is the place to be. Very close to the ferry, approximately 7 minute drive, but about 20 minutes from the Driftwood mall. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, peaceful stay on Pender Island.

Right outside the gate is a forest to explore and venture on foot a little further to Bricky Bay, and the spectacular George Hill lookout. We love this area of Pender Island, the smaller country grocery store close by is stocked with specialty items and fresh produce. We are in an especially quiet neighborhood of larger acreages, farmland and many beaches and trails for all levels of hiking and exploration. Produce, egg stands and the local Saturday Farmers Market are also close by.
Our driveway is a five minute walk up to the house and our driveway is within a walking distance of many nice trails, beaches and hikes. It is about a 20 minute walk to Hope Bay shops and within biking distance to the ferry and all amenities.

We are a family of four living on Pender since 2005 where we built our home and are raising our children. We enjoy gardening, woodworking, pottery, vegetarian cooking, sailing and music. Pender island is relaxed, community conscious, and living here it's hard not to feel soulfully connected to the land and the community.
