Had a lovely stay and the children enjoyed the farm animals. Only problem was the farm dogs who were begging for food incessantly and would not leave us alone while we ate and also jumping up onto the kids and barking at us.

Our stay here was lovely. I would highly recommend going here with a young child. You may need to bring a mattress if you go with two kids but it worked out for us with a 3 year old. Hosts were very responsive to an issue with ants and we had an accident with our daughter being sick and these were dealt with very promptly. Staff is very friendly and helpful! Our daughter loved playing with the goats and friendly dogs, and feeding the baby goats in the morning. Also very safe environment, and there is close by safari opportunities, and restaurants. Def make sure to bring your own food, unless you plan on driving to Hartbeespoort to Jasmyn and there is a spar about 30 min away. It can get busy on holidays as there are activities planned then, I would recommend attending for at least one day on weekend to get the full experience: feeding the various animals, riding a donkey or a horse for kids, tasting the milk, getting a burger etc.

What a wonderful experience for my family. The kids absolutely loved it. Recommended for family with young kids. Just take an extra mattress if you have two kids, the sleeper couch is abit small for two. Will definitely be back. Thank you to the host.

This is a beautiful place! Real farm atmosphere. Who knew donkey milk was a thing... So interesting to learn about history and the benefits of donkey milk. You can even taste it if you are brave, or buy the products on sale at the little shop. Amanda and Martyn were super amazing and made us feel at home. They have a beautiful hiking trail with breathtaking views. Their wagyu burger is a must try. Really nice getaway from the busy city.

Didn't expect much, cottage on a farm, some discomfort & flies, etc. I came cause I LOVE goats & was prepared to suffer 😊. What a surprise!, beautiful, modern feel to farm, warm feeling as you enter & being greeted. Cottage was a true find, very clean!, comfortable with mesh windows, no flies inside (quite a few while having a braai, but to be expected 😊). Best was the peace & quiet. Def recommend this for couples who wish to escape the city,but also families with kids as you get to use all the facilities, hiking trails, spend time with the animals, relaxing at the cottage. Old clothes so you don’t mind getting dirty with the goats,comfortable hiking clothes, trail is a bit steep OK for medium fit or just take breaks/sun hats, sun lotion Next time will bring just snacks or bf, shop has drinks, the best brownies ever (the sweetest milk liqueur), and their wagyu burgers that was to die for.This is a gem and needs to be on your list of places to stay!
