I was thrilled with the house and felt it was exactly as advertised. Yes, you are right on the busy highway and have to watch for cars when crossing the road to your car(s), but the rooms in the house comfortably fit our 6 guests and we stayed in the extra suite. The sauna was amazing, the hillside paths were fun, the hot tub was clean and hot (a little too much chlorine, but I’m sure they just have to deal with the frequent use), the outdoor shower and tub were perfect, and the fire pits (gas and wood) made for a campy, but cozy weekend. Yes, it’s a little rustic, but that’s what we wanted. To spend time in the redwoods with good friends and lovely amenities. The house was well stocked and I found Pierre to be very responsive, especially around check in time. Five stars. Hope to be back.

I can’t say I’d recommend this house to anyone. If it was just 1 or even 2 things askew I could overlook as nothing is perfect but this stay just wasn’t at all what it was advertised to be. We arrived to find the house is on a busy hwy with hardly any shoulder to park on and a curve which makes it difficult to see cars- totally unsafe for children. The rooms face the hwy and the walls are thin, very noisy. You can see the downstairs game room through the cracks in the floorboards and they had give. There was wet clothes/towels in the washing machine, no iron for the ironing board, no wine glasses in the house, skin rashes developed from the over use of chemicals in the hot tub, the sauna wouldn’t go to a warm temperature (70* was highest), musty smelling, paint chipping in all areas, opened food left in the fridge and cupboards, all outside sitting areas were very unkept. The worst of everything is that the host wouldn’t respond to calls or text messages. Pierre is the name of the host on this site but was told after some time from him to contact the host Bianca which I did as well to no response with 3 attempts. The pictures on the site are not at all representative of the condition of the accommodation, not at all. I will say that there was a list of places to go which took us to the Northwoods golf course- that was amazing. The trees surrounding the area are majestic and beautiful. I would definitely go back to the area of Monte Rio or Jenner…just wouldn’t stay at this accommodation again. This is the only negative review I’ve ever had to leave. I’m not incredibly fussy but I feel we were lied to by the representation and our experience was very disappointing. We were so looking forward to gathering with friends and spending time at a higher end accommodation. In the end we stayed out and only came back there to sleep 🤦‍♀️

Great for large groups with lots of entertainment. Wonderful place but there is not a projector screen as pictured and host/ manager were not easy to communicate with. There is no cell service, just wifi and be warned of mice/ rat traps everywhere. We saw two in the game room.

We absolutely love this place for a weekend getaway and took my friends only 5HRS drive from Southern California for small friends reunion visited me in Sonoma county The place has EVERYTHING you might need, it’s clean, spacious and has lots outdoor entertainment. We biked crossed the trail on uphill, watched the stars, grilled bbq and enjoyed fire pit at night. Amazing restaurants just 10 minutes away, Great hikes around Armstrong, you can get to and hike around on your own. The hosts are incredibly helpful and communicative. We will be back for sure
