This was our first stay at the Barnhaus, and the best endorsement we can give is that we plan to stay again when we visit the area. The interior space combined with the picture windows and the rural, hilltop setting made hanging out at the Barnhaus very relaxing. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. We especially enjoyed strolling around the extensive property with our dog and seeing all the wildlife - deer, a beaver in the Sugar River, and all the birds at the feeders. Plus, the Barnhaus was a great home base for trips to Mt. Horeb, New Glarus, Mineral Point, and Spring Green and for hiking sections of the Ice Age Trail near Cross Plains. We have added the Barnhaus to our list of favorite Airbnb homes.

We enjoyed our stay at Barnhaus in Mount Horeb over the Thanksgiving holiday. The location is wonderful for a peaceful respite. The prairie is beautiful and we especially enjoyed walking the groomed paths throughout the property. The Barnhaus is really cool with huge windows (love!), nice decor and a very well appointed kitchen. We highly recommend Barnhaus on the prairie, and we would definitely come back for another stay - it's a gem. Thanks!
