Winchcombe · 农家仓房 · 1室1床1.5卫 · 可住2人 · Barn Annexe, a romantic Cotswolds retreat
Cosy yet spacious, attractive converted cow shed just outside the historic town of Winchcombe enjoying an idyllic rural location in an AONB with stunning views and Cleeve Common and the Cotswold Way easily accessible by foot. Enjoy the open countryside views, curl up with a book on the comfy sofa or unwind with a glass of wine together in the oversized spa bath. Adjoining the owners converted barn, the annexe has a parking space for guests. Step into the entrance/dining area, open the french doors on a warm summer evening and enjoy intimate candle lit dining for two in the attractive shabby chic surroundings. A fridge and small freezer also. There is a small kitchen area, ideal for making breakfast and preparing snacks and light meals. Please note, there is no built in oven/hob (so no pans) but a mini tabletop toaster/oven, a teppanyaki grill (like a hot plate) and air fryer are available instead, along with a microwave and of course a kettle and toaster. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer for your use. Complimentary tea, coffee and sugar are provided along with a cafetière and teapot. A picnic basket and blanket is available in the summer months, fill with your favourite foods and enjoy a romantic picnic for two in the Cotswolds. There is a small cloakroom with loo and basin. From the small internal hallway there is a door to a corridor which leads to the bathroom, bedroom and sitting room. The luxury bathroom has an oversized, double ended spa bath for two, (with controllable jets) a perfect way to end the day. (accessibility may be difficult for some, the bath is deep and the side is higher than a regular bath tub) Please note there is no shower. There is a two point razor socket above the mirror. Bathrobes, complimentary slippers and toiletries are provided for your use. There is a cosy vintage theme double bedroom, the comfortable double bed has a memory foam mattress. Two bedside tables (here you will find a hairdryer in one of the drawers) with table lamps, a rail with hangers and small two drawer chest for your clothes and a petite corner dressing table area. The spacious sitting room has a comfy large sofa with scatter cushions and throw, ideal for snuggling in front of the TV. The electric log effect heater will keep you warm on those cooler summer nights. Please note that during the warmer summer months the gas central heating may be turned off. Outside to the front of the south facing property there is a lawn and small patio area with furniture. Outdoor lighting comes on automatically at dusk ready for you to sit outside and enjoy a cold beer or gin and tonic on those warmer evenings. A large sun umbrella/parasol with base is available if you require some shade on sunny days. To the side of the barn annexe there is a large open garden and off road parking for our guests, ample outdoor space with fantastic countryside views. There is even table tennis available exclusively for our guests during the summer months. Although there is no BBQ, the teppanyaki grill is a fun, alternative way to enjoy al fresco style dining.
A wonderful place to stay for getting away in the Cotswolds – fantastic location and lots of places to see nearby, including Winchcombe which had a good choice of pubs and restaurants. Tina was a great host who left lots of lovely touches round the place and was accommodating to anything we needed. The annexe was a very relaxing and comfortable place to come back to. (We also liked the cats!)
Fantastic host, Tina was so helpful and a lovely bottle of bubbles on arrival. plenty of room and enjoyed the spa bath after long walks through the Cotswolds.
We had a lovely stay at the barn annexe, which was very cosy, relaxing and quiet. Hosts were very helpful and welcoming. Tina provided us with a bottle of prosecco on ice for our arrival, which was a very nice and special touch. We would definitely visit again.
A secluded, picturesque magical stay with enhanced personal touches to make your stay extra special. The barn is phenomenal- the decor is stylish & homely & the care & thought from Tina is evident as soon as you walk in the door. This is a 5* stay and if you’d like a real spa treatment (loved the jacuzzi bath) this is the place for you. It was my partners birthday so booked this for a surprise & he was blown away by everything. Emma & Adam
The small rural ‘neighbourhood’ of Dryfield Meadow consists of only a few properties, mostly converted farm buildings.
Walkers will be spoilt for choice with easy access to Cleeve Common and both the Cotswold and Isbourne Way from the Barn Annexe.
Kind permission from our neighbours at Dryfield Farm has been given to allow our guests exclusive access to Cleeve common via their private farm track but be aware you may encounter an enthusiastic greeting from one of their friendly dogs!
There is plenty to do with the nearby medieval market town of Winchcombe only a mile away offering great pubs and a choice of restaurants, cafes, tea rooms and boutique shops. Other amenities include a museum/visitors information centre, supermarket, bakery and a post office.
Visit nearby Sudeley Castle where you can look around the house and gardens.
The Barn Annexe is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, glorious countryside and idyllic spot for exploring the Cotswolds.
Because of its rural position a car is recommended to get around, the nearest shops are over a mile away in the old Saxon town of Winchcombe.

自我介绍
My husband Trevor and I are retired and when we are not at home enjoying the beautiful Cotswolds we like to explore the UK in our VW camper van, ‘Buster’. My hobbies include encaustic wax art and up cycling old furniture and you will see examples of both in the barn annexe.
