Great and very atmospheric stay at the chateau estate - with the opportunity to learn about the place's history. Laurence was very responsive to all questions, and provided tonnes of recommendations about how to make the most of the stay. The bakery in the village while not selling a huge variety of options, had top quality of pastries an bread. Lots of places to visit and explore around - definitely a good base for visiting the Loire valley.

Wur haben u ns in der wundervollen Lage am Schlos Champchevrivier sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt, hatten ein herzliches Willkommen und eine tolle Schlossführung. Wir konnten sogar 2 Veranstaltungen mit ubseren historischen Tanzeinlagen bereichern. Es war ein toller Aufenthalt.

We had the most wonderful stay in the pavilion by Laurence and Gustavo, who are very hospitable hosts. The house is very atmospheric, spacious, warm and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The château is very conveniently located to visit the famous castles of Loire Valley. You can also do very nice walks in the countryside and we saw many deers. We have got very many great recommendations from Laurence about the restaurants and local markets which made our trip very special and hustle free. By staying in the pavilion you get to experience living in French countryside and get a glimpse in the castle’s life and interact with the family. We have been invited to attend a special ceremony of christening of young hunting dogs and could watch feeding the dogs which was very exciting. We loved it so much so we would love to come back in another season.
