Beautiful secluded cabin with high standards by the sea in a small picturesque fjord, 1.5 hrs drive from Tromsø. Perfect location to hear the sound of silence and get in touch with nature, while watching Aurora in winter and the midnight sun in summertime. The area is great for fishing, hiking, hunting, skiing or just relaxation inside by the fireplace or outside by the campfire pan. We provide top range snowshoes, waterproof insulated coveralls, headlights and spikes for shoes for free. Dyrsfjorden gives you a feeling of silence and calm. The area is great for hiking, fishing, skiing, picking berries or just relaxation . You can enjoy the campfire right outside the cabin. Since there is very little light pollution in the area it is a perfect location to spot the Aurora Borealis between September and mid-April, so a guided tour is not necessary, unless it will be cloudy during your whole stay. Quit often you can encounter reindeers, even on the premesis. Also often seen is moose, sea eagle, grouse, otter, cormorant and goose. In summer, there is a possibility of visiting magical beaches by boat. There is a nearby fish camp (3min by car) where you can either join a guided fishing tour or rent one of their high quality boats yourself. For fishing the area normally provides both halibut and cod. In wintertime you may have to walk 400 m from our garage by the road, to the cabin. It can be a fresh experince if there is a snowstorm :0) The distance from the main road makes it even more secluded and calm. Indoors, you can relax by the fireplace, watch movies, play board games, prepare meals, work out or just enjoy the beautiful view ;)

Saw the lights here 3 of the 4 nights. Outstanding location, outstanding home, and outstanding hosts. Ove and Monica are the rare hosts that go above and beyond. In my decade of using airbnb and across about 40 different stays across the world, this stay may very well my favorite. Definitely book with Ove and Monica.
Unser Aufenthalt in Monicas und Oves Haus war einfach traumhaft. Das Haus ist wunderbar ruhig an einem Fjord gelegen. Wir haben viele Rentiere direkt am Haus beobachten können. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist sehr gut. Es gibt alles was man braucht und noch viel mehr. Wir haben uns vom 1. Moment an wie zuhause gefühlt. Wir konnten sogar Spikes, Schneeanzüge und Schneeschuhe nutzen und mussten diese nicht für viel Geld leihen oder kaufen. Das absolute Highlight sind natürlich die Polarlichter, die wir an mehreren Abenden direkt von der Terrasse und dem Außenwhirlpool aus beobachten konnten. Ein Traum! Monica war für Fragen immer erreichbar und hat uns viele gute Tipps gegeben, damit unser Urlaub unvergesslich wird. Das Haus liegt ca. 90 Minuten von Tromsø entfernt, daher benötigt man zwingend ein Auto. Aber die Fahrt führt durch eine so wunderschöne Landschaft, dass es uns überhaupt nicht gestört hat. Danke für alles, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!
Monica et Ove sont des hôtes exceptionnels, très réactifs, à l'écoute, qui ont un vrai sens de l'accueil. Le lieu est fantastique et la maison est superbe, confortable, avec une vue incroyable et très bien équipée. Nous avons vu des aurores boréales, c'était magique, comme si nous étions dans la maison du père Noël ! Tout est prévu pour passer un excellent séjour : balades en raquettes qui sont fournies, pêche sur les lacs gelés (tout le matériel est fourni : chignole à glace, cannes à pêche, appâts etc...), barbecue à l'extérieur de la maison, poêle cheminée à l'intérieur, luges, vélos de neige, surfs, combinaisons polaires etc. Rien ne manque, tout est prévu. Pour profiter pleinement de la nature, se ressourcer, c'est idéal. Nous avons vraiment envie d'y retourner ! Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour !

Dyrsfjorden is a secluded fjord with only 6 cabins and no permanent residents.
Mikkelvik is the closest place, a small village with only a few permanent residents. It is a 10 min. walk. There is a ferry slip, where the ferry goes to Rebbenesøy, a beautiful island, where you can go hiking, bikeriding or visit one of the lovely beaches.
You can visit Toftefjorden by boat- a small fjord with a memorial of 11 Norwegian resistance men who died at sea during World War 2.
Enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the Atlantic Puffin, (Norwegian national bird) during the boat trip
You will need a car to get arround. The closest supermarket is in Hansnes, a 35 min. drive from Dyrsfjorden.

Hei I 2017 renoverte vi loftsleiligheten i huset vårt og startet med airbnb. Vi ble kjent med mange hyggelige mennesker fra ulike land, og trivdes veldig godt som verter. I 2020 kom korona og vi måtte dessverre legge ned vår airbnb virksomhet. Vi har nå lagt tilrette for å starte opp igjen utleie i vår flotte hytte, som vi har pusset opp og gjort klar til utleie.
