With two families with teenagers (10 people) we had the fortune to be the first visitors of this wonderful chalet. We had a great week in the snow of the Grande Domaine and this chalet was beautiful, clean and a very comfortable place to stay. It is built with great attention to detail and has ample room for large groups. Further it is luxuriously and completely furnished, with nice details like a great Marshall sound box, a fully equiped washing room and smart TV’s and wifi in every room. Our 14-year-old wanted to give you a 7 out of 5 star rating:-) Despite the cold outside the house was always comfortably warm and we never even considered using the pellet oven (which is available as well). Also the showers where great and always warm even with all ten people. The kitchen and living room are a well furnished and atmospheric place to spend quality time together. And the views throughout the house are beautiful, starting with great sunset views over the valley in the morning and we saw a fox roaming around the house on multiple occasions. And around the house there is ample place to play in the surrounding fields (of snow in our case, which gave us hours of fun with the two sleds provided with the house). The only possible downside of the chalet that you should be aware of is the location. The house cannot directly be reached by car (at least in winter), requiring a few hundred metres downwards from the nearest parking space and a few hundred metres more to the ski resort. This walk across snow and possibly ice is not advisable for elderly who are not stable afoot. For arriving and leaving the house Benoit and his father kindly provided all help needed to get the luggage in the house. The walk to the slopes is a bit long (10 to 15 minutes) and in the beginning some of us where not happy about it. In the end we found it actually quite refreshing warmup through pretty fields of snow. A place to store skis and ideally (warm) boots uphill would be a great benefit though. We ended up putting a car near the lift to store the skis in on the free parking space near the lift, which worked quite well. All in all it was a great stay and we highly recommend Benoit and his father for welcoming us in their chalet. They were always swiftly and warmly available for any help we needed.
