One of our favourite vacations spots now! This is a beautiful 300 years old house, that's located in Carrick-on-Shannon, but a bit away from the town and is surrounded by nature. Eva, the owner of the house is very sweet, she help us to get to the house and back to the train station, and greeted us with baking that she made herself, we immediately felt like home. She cherishes this house and its history and you can feel that in every detail. There are a lot of bikes, so you can bike to the city even if you don't have a car (about 20min). There is also a boat that you can use. There are a lot of spots where you can sit with a book and relax or have an outside dinner. We enjoyed our stay a lot and we are definitely coming back again :) p.s. about the communication - the booking agency is contacting with you on airbnb, sometimes it's a bit tough to get some specific questions answered, but after booking they give you the contacts of the owner Eva, and she replies via email/calls pretty fast.
