I recently had the pleasure of staying at Marya's place for a little over 6 months, and it was an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. From the moment I booked, Marya was incredibly attentive to all of my messages and inquiries. Her warm and welcoming nature instantly put me at ease. She is genuinely interested in making guests as comfortable as possible, and it showed in every interaction we had. The location of Marya's place is simply unbeatable. It is situated in a prime spot in San Jose, making most places within a 15-minute drive or less. Marya's attention to detail and thoughtfulness is evident in every aspect of her hosting. Marya had thoughtfully stocked the place with all the essentials and more, ensuring that I had everything I needed for a comfortable and hassle-free stay. AND Marya generously included the Airbnb in a routine cleaning service! I wholeheartedly recommend Marya's place to anyone looking for an unforgettable Airbnb experience in San Jose.

Don't recommend, especially for families with kids. We needed a transitional space that we could spend 3-4 weeks before we find permanent place in SF, so kinda booked it in rush (my bad!). So let me break it down: - Actual space: it's very small space and it also doesn't feel renovated everything is almost falling apart (unknown cables are hanging everywhere), also not much furniture (bed is old is squeaking loudly when you try to roll out or sit on it). - We also came during heat wave and it was SO HOT and unbearable with an infant, even with portable AC which was set in the kitchen (like why?!) and was leaking from every single hole and doesn't cool the place at all, but we were kindly charged extra $100 for 2 weeks, be prepared to pay extra. - Parking is a pain, even though there is a parking on a premises but it literally blocked by the host's car that is never driven (don't see the point). When we arrived we had a lot of stuffs (like boxes from our previous place) that we wanted temporary store at this place and I kindly messaged the host if she can move her car temporary so we can unload stuffs, which she just ignored and never replied, but later messaged me complaining that she saw an extra person who was literally our friend helping us out to unload our stuffs through the long driveway that was blocked for no reasons. On another note we had a hard time parking the car, street parking is always busy so you have to park somewhere close and our car was literally scratched we don't know how and by whom! - Laundry is limited, I somehow was able to negotiate to use it every 7-10 days (but imagine doing it with infant who is always needing a clean clothes and separate laundry loads!!!!) - Backyard is always dirty with dog's poops and never gets cleaned. - Wifi is unstable and always stops working - Hot water - you'll have to wait to get hot water, when you start running it you have to wait literally 10 min to get hot water especially in the kitchen sink. Also in the bathroom there is always a noise of the water running through the pipe, during the day it's okay but at night it is so LOUD that me and my baby keep waking up. - I notified the host that we were leaving earlier so she can open the dates (5 days earlier and it is almost $700) and in case that people occupy she can partially refund me, at first she agreed and said she will contact Airbnb Customer Service, but later said that Airbnb CS can't do it and refund me any money. Then I myself contacted Airbnb CS and they said that it's under Host's discretion to accept any changes and issue a refund, I even tried send a request of change of dates that she never accepted. So 5 days of stay went nowhere and money are gone.

This experience has been really great and I would come back again. The rooms provided offer much space for luggage and living. Marya is a friendly host keeping good communication during and prior to stay. Her airbnb is tidy and still provides most basic utensils one might need during a longer stay.

Overall, I had a comfortable and pleasant 2 week stay here. Marya was a very communicative host, informing us before our arrival about some things to look out for (blinds in the bedroom were broken; she was planning to host a gathering one evening). She even accommodated our request for a second office chair as both my spouse and I were working from home. Although the AirBnb unit shares a wall with Marya's home, we never had any issues around noise. There's usually street parking available right in front of the house but occasionally we had to park on a different block. The location of the home is close to the freeway entry/exit and there are a few restaurants within walking distance.
