We were very glad we chose Lou and Ian’s place for a few relaxing days in Scamander. It’s very light and spacious accommodation with wonderful views of the river and ocean. The sunny deck is a lovely spot to sit and the kitchen is well equipped. Thank you!

I don’t know what to add to the previous reviews. Lou’s place ticked all our boxes for east coast accommodation. It is a really comfortable, spacious, well appointed cottage with great views. Lou & Ian are lovely hosts, happy to chat & and share their garden produce while very respectful of your privacy. We’d go back in a heartbeat.

Loved place and location. Open bushland and views out to the sea. Also hearing the surf. Lovely verandah. Better than photos. We will definitely return.

This pictures does not do justice to the place! It is way better than what one can see in the pictures, and it really felt like a home that one can stay on and enjoy, and this was especially so when our first day there was pretty rainy, and we found comfort in the homeliness of Lou's place! Highly recommended!

Wawww what a location! We had an absolutely fantastic stay. Lou and Ian were wonderful hosts and the house had everything we could possibly want. The house is ideal for walking down into town for a coffee, run/walk in the reserve, or swim in the river. Scamander is a gorgeous town close to St Helen’s and all the delights of the East Coast. Thank you Lou and Ian
