We enjoyed our stay at Donelle’s place. It was spacious and a good base for tramping. The location was great too as very close to town. The listing in accurate in it’s description that is very much a lived in home. It’s a little more rustic than the pictures suggest, and could be cleaner, so just go with the right expectations. But overall a good base for outdoors activities!

This is relaxed open house with great location ( near Glenorchy amenities ) but quiet and private. Donelle is as friendly and approachable host and has a generous and thoughtful spirit to meet in individual needs .

Excellent communication at the time of booking however if you need to make contact once at the property, communication is not efficient. Unfortunately we had to cancel our full booking shortly after arrival as there were issues that we were not prepared to accept and communication with the owner was non-existent, in spite of us following her pre-arranged communicating directions once we arrived at the property. It appears that this owner lives out of the area as her Glenorchy Airbnb indicates that she lives in Canterbury. Perhaps this distance led in some way to contributing to the various issues we experienced. Fortunately we were able to seek alternative accommodation for 3- nights, rather than spend the booked 3-nights in conditions that were not acceptable to us. Airbnb organisation have been most supportive in a refund.

A great location in Glenorchy, near to the river and easy walking distance to local eateries. A good space with a nice log burner.

Highly recommended place. You can enjoy the view exactly as described in Donelle's post. Glenorchy is a small place has nothing but stunning view. It is relaxing to just stay there and doing nothing (maybe a little bit walks :)) There is coffee&breakfast within 5 min walk and general grocery store (Mrs Woo) within 11 min walk. Bed is comfortable. Definitely worths it.
