We came up to Chatham area for a wedding weekend and had the opportunity to stay at Mary Marie’s quaint little cottage. It was in a great location- easy to get to Main Street by foot and a quick drive to Chatham Bars Inn where the wedding was being held! The cottage itself was super cute. I will say the beds weren’t particularly comfortable to us, but we realize that’s just a personal preference thing, so didn’t dock any stars for it. The outdoor space was a nice add-on. It’s outfitted with some furniture to hang out, but also had enough space for us to get a few outdoor AM workouts in. The parking was a little tight, but we had rented a huge truck to help get things to and from the wedding (as well as a bunch of golf bags from the guys to and from the airport). This shouldn’t be an issue if you have anything smaller! The parking was right out front and super convenient for bringing luggage in and out of the house. Overall great space - would recommend and stay again! Thank you!!

Stayed here for a long weekend in September and it was absolutely perfect! Easy check in, very convenient location, and a beautiful home.

Our family just got back from a week's stay at Mary Marie's home and it was lovely. The home is charming with lots of character, well equipped, and is located on a beautiful street that is quiet and a close walk to town. Communication was easy and Mary Marie was always quick to respond on the app. Our 3 young children especially loved the outdoor shower and we spent alot of time outside on the fenced in patio with grill. The washer and dryer were great and helped keep our family organized throughout the trip and for our return home. My only recommendation is that the home should have a microwave. I checked the listing again and a microwave was not mentioned, but we just assumed something basic like a microwave would be included. Otherwise we absolutely adored the home and are already planning our next trip back to Mary Marie's home next summer!

Another great week at the Escape Hatch! (Despite a very rainy week) It’s a perfect home base for our family of 4 to enjoy Chatham. Walking to shops & restaurants in town, nearby playground and Oyster Pond kept us moving on non-beach days. Notable EH moments were outdoor showers, star gazing on the patio and grilling fresh fish from the seal pier. Mary Marie is lovely to communicate with and we can’t wait to come back next year!

The Escape Hatch was exactly what our family of four (with two adult children) needed. The home was super cozy and located in a gorgeous residential neighborhood just a 5 minute walk from downtown Chatham. There was a charming little patio in back, the small kitchen had all that we needed, and the beds were comfy. Central air kept the house cool on the hotter days and on cooler days there were plenty of windows to open to let in the breeze. Mary Marie was super responsive and helpful both before and during our stay. Gorgeous homes with gardens surround the house. Downtown Chatham has excellent restaurants and coffee shops, and lots of stores to browse. Just about 5 houses away is a beautiful little pocket park with an old grist windmill, bocce courts and a field marked out for croquet. A small shed houses the game supplies and there's a clean bathroom there, too. We were so relaxed in this charming home!
