Laid back super rustic room in the jungle across the road from lake. Short walk to stores/restaurants in Remate. Wouldn’t recommend to those without strong knees, lots of climbing involved. Ramon was friendly and stayed in good communication, he lives on property.

This was my second time staying at the Cob House. Love it! Several great restaurants in close proximity. Quiet and peaceful surroundings. I’ll be back.

It was an amazing room that Ramon constructed himself. It is on the edge of a forest/ jungle so you can expect some wildlife. The room was clean and there were nets installed in front of all the windows to keep animals out. Ramon was an amazing host very friendly and fast in responding, he even let us leave the bags for one afternoon after we checked out so we could visit Tikal a bit more comfortable. All in all, we enjoyed it a lot and would definitely recommend it to our friends.

A beautiful and quiet place in the jungle but close to the lake. Restaurants and small supermarkets are nearby. Ramon is a very kind and helpful host and gave some good recommendations. We could even store our luggage after Check Out time which we highly appreciated. Outdoor kitchen is well equipped, we enjoyed cooking there. Definitely the place to stay in El Remate!
