Storm Kathleen 2024 meant we were 3 days delayed getting onto Scilly as the boat wasn't sailing..but finally arriving at Clemy's cottage was such a lovely treat, the aga filling the large kitchen with warmth, fresh flowers, and even some milk in the fridge. The cottage had everything we needed, everything was spotlessly clean and really well maintained. The location is wonderful and the beach felt wonderfully safe for swimming and paddleboarding. Our final treat was some freshly made Saturday doughnuts from the cake shop 30 seconds walk from the cottage. Hannah let us have a later check out on our last day seeing as we d missed so much of our holiday. Would definitely recommend Clemys Cottage and I hope we will return some day.

We felt right at home straight away at Clemie's cottage. Comfy beds in sweet bedrooms and cosey lounge. The kitchen was brilliant with the AGA, easy to cook on once we figured it out. We used the oven as much as we could since it was always on and had fun trying to bake fresh bread and rolls. Great for drying clothes and shoes too if you get caught out in the rain. Co-op was a few minutes walk and there is a little green grocers close by. Porthcressa beach is metres away. Perfect base for exploring the islands.

The cottage is lovely and location cannot be beat, right around the corner from Porthcressa beach. Unfortunately, we had some bad surprises when we arrived in that we found remnants of puke on the toilet and washing machine, the microwave wasn’t clean. When I messaged Hannah (owner) and Jodie (cleaner), the issues were sorted out quickly, which was appreciated. Another down point I would say was that there wasn’t soap at each sink, not a lot of loo roll and the towels provided were old and tatty. We would have expected a bit more for what we paid. Also, I don’t agree with the long list of clean up tasks before leaving the cottage, again this was a pricey stay, not a stay in a hostel where one would expect taking the linen off the bed etc. We left the place tidy. We travelled with a baby (cot and bedding provided - thank you!). Kitchen is well equipped, good to have a washing machine and clothes drying options (outside and above Aga in kitchen). Overall a nice place, 4 stars from me.

We had a wonderful family gathering in a fantastic house in an idyllic setting, close to the beach and walks around the island. It was well appointed and catered for all our needs. Hannah is a most responsive and helpful host and we wouldn't hesitate to return.
