Such a lovely and peaceful location. Beautiful surroundings and very comfortable and well equipped " Upper Barn " nice walks from the accom and friendly hosts.Would highly recommend.
We had a wonderful few days at upper barn cottage. Carole and Barry are great hosts and the cottage itself, within the stunning grounds of their house, is beautiful, clean and well equipped. It was a great base to explore surrounding areas to include Cadair Idris and Aberdyfi. If you enjoy wildlife watching, Dyfi wildlife centre (osprey project) is a great place to visit but also plenty of wildlife to watch from the comforts of the cottage and garden :).
This place is amazing! Check in was very easy, and caroles communication was fantastic, even gave us some rea vags as we had forgotten ours. The cottage is beautiful and well looked after, you have eveything you need, very well equipped. The location and grounds of the cottage is breath taking. I will 100% be back again!
Absolutely beautiful setting. Accommodation worked really well for us as a family of 4. One of the kids slept on the pull out futon. It wasn’t a huge futon but worked really well for a 7 year old. Everything was clean and tidy and Barry and Carole couldn’t have been friendlier and more helpful. You can do some amazing walks straight out of the garden, or drive short distances to local places of interest. We loved the little steam railway at Twylln (I’ve probably spelled that wrong!) and the beach at Dyfi. The owls that Barry and Carole have rescued were the highlight for the kids, who visited them every day! Gardens were amazing with loads of space for active children. Be aware there are ponds without fences, so maybe not suitable for tiny kids. Really highly recommend this place. We had a fabulous week!
This is a wonderful place in a fairly remote area. It is extremely peaceful and quiet and very restful. The hosts were both interesting and informative. The accommodation is extremely well appoint with a much higher standard of equipment than in most Airbnb's
