Portreath has UNESCO world heritage status.
Nestled in the beautiful , national trust, Green valley,
with a lovely, sandy bay and historic harbour,
at low tide, there are rock pools and a natural swimming pool.
Portreath once had a busy shipping industry due to the
connection with mining but is now used by local fishermen.
There are three excellent pubs that have restaurants. Two cafés. A fish restaurant. A mini market that sells most things.
A surf shop that sells and hires, wetsuits boards, canoes et cetera and a hairdressers/beautician.
For a small village we are very lucky to have so many amenities.

There is a good bus service in the village and the main line station is in Reduth.
We are approx 30 minutes from Newquay airport, Falmouth, St Ives, Perranporth, approximately 40 minutes from the Eden project. The lost Gardens of Heligan. Penzance and many other important places.
10 minutes by car from ~ Tesco ~ Morrison ~ Liddel ~ Aldi
and lots of independant farm shops.
