Like other reviewers we found Barbara to be a thoughtful and generous host. She gave us ideas and resources to make our visit fun and interesting. The rental is as shown in the photos and is clean and neat with all the cooking basics. We were greeted with a vase of fresh-cut flowers. Barbara’s home is in a beautiful,quiet neighborhood, walkable to the Mission and downtown. It is perfect for a single or a couple.

Barbara was so sweet and the place is just adorable. I loved the retro pink fixtures in the bathroom. The area felt very safe and was nice and quiet. The bed is comfy and I loved all the art on the walls. Would definitely stay here again!

A peaceful and quiet location but near enough to downtown to be convenient by bike or car. Also a great neighborhood for walking. Barbara is a great host, super responsive and friendly. I also appreciated her cake and lentil soup! All appliances and furnishings are modern and good condition. The bed is comfortable and the heat works well. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful experience at Barbara's guesthouse for our 5-week stay. Barbara was very helpful with suggestions and provided a handy info sheet for the area. She was quick to respond to messages. Barbara's guesthouse is located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood with easy access to the main areas of Santa Barbara. Parking was easy as a space was always available right in front. Counter space (in kitchen and large bath), bedroom shelving and drawers and a closet gave us abundant storage space to easily make Barbara's guesthouse our home. It also has two outdoor spaces that were welcoming and nicely decorated. We will be back!

The guest house was the perfect place for us! We felt like we had arrived home the second we entered the airbnb. It has a good sized floor plan and a very nice layout - especially for 2 people - was perfectly clean and tidy and had everything you need for a longer stay of several months. The airbnb is very well equipped. It provides air conditioning, plenty of power outlets, as well as fast internet. The kitchen is also well equipped and you can start cooking right away. What we particularly noticed is the great charm of the airbnb and how beautifully it is decorated. We felt like Barbara put a lot of effort into making it as comfortable for her guests as possible - with great success! The guest house is located in a wonderful neighborhood near several parks and sights, like the Old Mission + State Street with countless restaurants is also walking distance. Parking was no problem either. Barbara and her dog Loulou have been very friendly welcoming hosts to us and were always just a short message away. The location, guest house and all the amenities speak for themselves - we would love to come back anytime to beautiful Santa Barbara and Barbaras gem of a guesthouse.
