Located near Futaleufú on pristine Lago Espolón. Beautiful view, hot water, high-speed WiFi included. Access to all attractions in Futaleufú such as world-class whitewater rafting Kayaking, Canopy, etc. Vegetarian meals made with organic, locally-grown produce are included. Our lodge is perched part-way up the mountainside with a spectacular view of the lake and surrounding mountains. We've done our fair share of traveling in Patagonia and know how important it is to have hot water, fast internet, and hearty meals. Come and enjoy a warm, cozy room, vegetarian food and Lake view. * Red-Room - Great View - Large Private Bathroom - Second Floor *Brown-Room - Private Bathroom - Second floor * Blue-Room - Ground level - Semi-private bathroom If your group is larger than 12 people, we also have a guest cabin that can house an additional 4 people.

Nuestra estadía fue excelente! El lodge es maravilloso, un entorno único . Es un lugar tranquilo con vistas privilegiadas del lago espolon y su entorno. Se logra completa desconexión y descanso. Además hay opciones de actividades , caminatas, kayak, paseo a la montaña y el lago. Kristen y Charles fueron unos anfitriones excelentes y se preocuparon de que tuviésemos una estadía perfecta junto con comida vegana muy rica cada dia. La barcaza funciona perfectamente y es fácil acceder con las instrucciones de Kristen. Todo recomendable .

Lago Espolon is a 15 minute drive from Futaleufú. Our property is another 20 minutes by boat down the lake. Our nearest neighbor is an hour away on foot. There are no close neighbors.
There's no noisy road: access is via boat. We will transport you to parking at the Futaleufú end of the lake.
There is also a lake ferry (see below for hours).
For safety reason, we try to avoid boating after dark so it would be best if you arrived at least an hour prior to sundown.

*Note that the Ferry doesn't automatically stop at our dock. Please advise the crew that that you are going to El Refugio Lodge at Puerto Los Pinos so they will stop. On the return we will need to contact them by marine radio and ask them to stop.

We are a family who loves fun, food, and adventure. Charles loves backpacking and enjoys the “high” of being on top of a mountain. Kristen was a board certified Preventive Medicine physician until she opted out to raise two gorgeous kids, teach homeschool, and grow an organic garden. Caleb, the oldest of the two gorgeous kids, is an extreme techi capable of mind-melding with most anything that has a processor. This does not mean, however, that he isn't able to scale the nearby mountains faster than any of us -- frequently toting several items of our gear as he goes. And Anna, obviously the other gorgeous kid, is ... Anna. The extrovert of the group; totally into people; never met a stranger. She is our horse trainer, animal manager, and entrepreneur. We're passionate about our area of Patagonia and are excited to be able to share it with you. We look forward to meeting you. Let us know how we can make your stay extra special.
